field guide to being a transwoman in aotearoa by Madeleine Ostoja
InsideOUT works to give rainbow young people in Aotearoa New Zealand a sense of safety and belonging in their schools and communities. We are a national charity providing resources, information, workshops, consulting and support for anything concerning rainbow or LGBTQIA+ issues and education for schools, workplaces and community organisations.
OutLine is an all-ages rainbow mental health organisation providing support to the rainbow community, their friends, whānau, and those questioning. We provide a nationwide, free and confidential 0800 support line for people who want to speak to a trained volunteer from the rainbow community. We also provide specialist rainbow counselling and an Auckland based trans and non-binary peer support service.
Naming New Zealand is an organisation to help transgender, gender diverse and intersex youth with updating their identity documents to correctly reflect their sex and gender.

Wellington support group for 30 and under
We have fortnightly meetings in central Wellington for discussions, information, food and frivolity. Whether you’ve already gone through a gender transition, you’re questioning who you are, or feel like you just don’t fit into male or female, you’re welcome in our group. Tranzform is a place where you can let your glorious self out, explore your gender with youth in the same boat, and be safe doing so.
