I am very interested in seeing your results going forward. You're the first results from Gast I've seen and she's likely who I will be going to.

Full, or minimal depth? PPT or PI? I'm scheduled with her this summer.

As someone who had her for my bottom surgery, I second this.

a very random question --- do you get intubated for this type of surgery?

I did for getting put under but then removed before being woken up, sore throat for the first 2 days in hospital.

I'm told to save any vocal cord surgery for after the ones you get intubated for.

Well I wish you luck, maybe best to get vocal chord surgery before everything?

i have found myself in a place where i don't need vocal chord adjustment. my voice is high enough to pass as female, and nobody knows i'm trans if i don't tell them.

i'm just a bit afraid about intubation. can i ask something sensitive.... a specific trigger for my trauma. could i PM you about it?

If you need to, sure.

It really depends on the VFS surgeon and their recommendations. Most suggest 6 months to a year after VFS before considering elective surgeries that require intubation.

Got my ducks aligned in 2021, waited through 2022, was told my surgery wasn’t supposed to happen until March 7th of 2023 but then I got bumped to December 28 of 2022 (been told a lot of people who go to her get bumped), all and all wait time was about a year? And I happen to have a high pain tolerance but seriously I’d put this in a 4-5 pain level, all treatable via acetaminophen and Ibprophen.

Thank you for posting. I have a consult this summer with her and seeing your results helps me feel more confident in my choice.

Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Thank you for posting. I'm in Milwaukee and will more likely than not be going with the same doctor. If you don't mind my asking...what did she have to work with? I'm very small and afraid I won't have sufficient material to work with for depth and such.

I had a reasonably sized package, average for most, I’d say that they’re encouraging masturbation to increase maximum depth and the month where you have to stop hormones I’d stretch her out a bit while you can to get maximum depth (I got maximum depth from what I was told, about 7-8 inches worth)

We’ll see how deep she goes once I dilate this week.

I don’t recall, you can always contact and call her nurse staff who will ask any of her questions from like 8am to 5pm cst. So I recommend asking her mychart or calling her nursing staff because I forgot to ask at my most recent check up. (Will post a 1 month healing update photo later today)

Use a browser, not a reddit app, or you may not see much.

How much did this cost you ?

Nothing, I utilized my state insurance with which had a loophole where they cover 90-100% of all gender affirming surgeries, so I paid literally 0$
