Wow looks good!! What technique did you get? Did you have to get any electrolysis?

Thank you! The technique was peritoneal flap/pull-through with robotic assistance. I did have electrolysis, 30 minutes a week for about 6.5 or 7 months.

One of the best PPT visible result I’ve seen! Did you manage to clear all the necessary areas then?

I think so! Dr. Purohit checked at my 3 month pre-op in October and said I was sufficiently cleared. I think I lucked out in not having a ton of hair down there in the first place.

Wow, you look great, I had Dr Purohit also, I am 4 months post op, I still have a lot of swelling and scaring is slow to heal but I am in mid 60s and healing comes a little slower. We're all different. He's a great Dr.

How come you needed to remove hair for peritoneal flap.

Re dilating, what depth and diameter are you managing at 8 weeks.

The entire canal isn't peritoneal tissue, so I had to do at least some hair removal.

And for dilation, I'm still using the purple dilator, and I'm getting it to somewhere between 7 and 7.5 inches. I could definitely size up dilators at this point but don't currently have the motivation and energy to do so.

Thank you. Is it the front or top part of the canal which is other type tissue - and what sort of tissue is it.

Very simplified, I'm not a doctor:

With PPT, the end of the canal is sort of "capped" with peritoneal tissue, which is tissue in your abdomen that lines your organs.

I have pvt too, just you said not all your canal is pvt, so I am interested to know which part isn't pvt and what tissue the other part is.

Ah, I misunderstood. The non-peritoneal portion is penile skin. The technique Dr. Purohit used on me is (at least conceptually) similar to what Bluebond and Zhao do, which is penile inversion with a peritoneal flap.

Just a heads up, but those scrolling captions are almost impossible to read. It would be much easier if you would just write it as a post.

Oh I didn't even know there were scrolling captions, I don't use new reddit or the official app except to be able to post multiple pics at once lol.

For anyone having trouble reading it, the captions, in order, are

  1. Glue along the incisions finally came off! Things look better and better every week.

  2. Slightly more spread.

  3. Legs spread as much as I comfortably can. Bit of red bloodiness visible.

Nice work. Why’d you keep the hair?

Looking good!

I have surgery with him in a few months. How were you treated during the general recovery? Did the staff answer any questions or concerns you had?
