I'm not a doctor but that skin looks a little concerning at the bottom, growing across your labia's

It’s a pretty common and minor complication of all surgeons. Usually a quick outpatient procedure during a follow up appointment is done to cut the webbing that you see

Yes, I'll know at my follow up what she wants to do. Been kind of a wait and see approach. The wound below has been closing quickly the last few weeks. I likely had a hematoma in an unfortunate spot.

I'm also looking at Dr. Avanessian for my surgery, if you don't mind me asking how has the process been? What should I expect from consultation setting up an actual date for surgery, the recovery, etc etc?

How common? I don’t wanna come home with a two tier vagina?!

For the first at least couple months up to a year or so after surgery, your vagina would be a surgical site in the process of healing. Lots of things can go wrong in that time with the most common being wound separation. It depends on a lot of factors like your surgeon, your body, and the steps you take during recovery. Webbing that needs to be snipped by the surgeon in a follow up appointment is really no big deal. Avanessian and other top surgeons in the US like RBL do minor aesthetic revisions like cutting webbing or increasing labia definition in about a quarter of patients. Even surgeons like Dr Bank do aesthetic revisions regularly. Needing webbing cut is not a “tier two” vagina

I meant two tiers as in two levels: an upper level above the skin and a lower below. Not that the vagina is rated lower sorry for the misunderstanding!

I guess I need to add more context! I had a very successful surgery and recovery. Everything is working as it should, I can orgasm, and I've got a good 7 inches of depth with the large orange dilator. Plus I do indeed have inner labia and a clit. I'm very happy with the results and expect things to look even better as the swelling continues to resolve. Swelling is expected to last about 6-9 months after surgery, and the final appearance is only expected to be settled around the one year mark. I have a follow up soon and we'll decide what to do with the small separation that remains at the bottom. It's closing up quickly, so we may just leave it be and let it seal up on its own as it hasn't impacted dilating. I'm definitely very satisfied with everything and would highly recommend Dr Avanessian to anyone!

Congrats ! Wishing you a speedy recovery. I had mine with Dr Bella 3 months ago. She’s awesome.

Honestly I find this post a bit dubious. This is a brand new account created today with no post history. It has an oddly specific username which seems to match this picture quite well. To be honest it just seems like a troll who stole a picture of a not so pleasant looking surgical outcome for mockery.

Other than the minor webbing complication, what about this is bad for 15 weeks? I’d imagine over the next year or so the scarring and swelling would go down

No discernible inner and out labia, no apparent clitoris.

I agree that there’s no discernible inner labia, but the clitoris is hidden by the hood between the outer labia and I’d imagine the definition of the outer labia will improve with swelling.

The lack of inner labia is pretty common especially with folks who have less tissue to start with and many surgeons intentionally go for that aesthetic. Is this a result likely to be upvoted to the top of the subreddit? No. Is this a terribly botched result likely to be used by transphobes or a valid argument for Avanessian not doing surgery like you imply in an earlier comment? Definitely not.

This is an average/above average outcome for a modern single stage vaginoplasty from what I’ve seen. Wound dehiscence is pretty common. Make sure to research and understand the limitations of SRS before putting yourself on an operating table.

This isn’t a troll post you should probably mind your own business and not be so negative to other peoples surgery results. There is a minora it’s just inside the labia majora. Dr Avanessian tends to exaggerate the labia majora and I personally think her results are fantastic.

I don't recall seeing these images before. Until someone else claims them, it's assumed they are from the OP.
