I was tacking it a bit more SyFi I guess. Like Bluetooth and settings XD

Sorry some days I have the humor of a 13yo.

Congratulations, you have to be so excited :D

Robots understand the limits of human skin much better than a surgeon. It's truly art.

I feel like I should do more looking in to that

Usually robots used in surgery are still controlled by a surgeon. Their main advantages are that large movements by the surgeon can translate to small movements by the robot, allowing for very precise work and for surgeons who don't have as steady hands anymore to still operate, and that a small robotic arm can fit places a hand can't and can potentially reduce the size of the incisions necessary to get to things inside your body.

I have a consult with him on 7/18. Curious to hear about your experience. From the people I’ve talked to, he does good work.

So far, I am very happy with him and his team!! They have been very helpful and very very kind! You'll be a bit intimidated because you will meet his entire team during your consult! But he is awesome!

How far out was he to schedule from your consult? I was gonna ask my therapist tomorrow when I see her.

I had some insurance issues so, unfortunately, can't provide accurate timelines on that. But from scheduling to date of surgery was a little over a month

Oh my gosh, this is probably the only surgeon my insurance will cover, did you like your consults? How long did it take from scheduling a consult to getting it scheduled?

I loved my consult! Dr Pariser was very honest and upfront but also kind of a character, which was really cool. He introduced his entire team, and they were all great as well.

I had a hiccup with my insurance, so I can't give a fully accurate timeline on that. My consult was in November, and they called to schedule it mid-May after the insurance stuff was cleared up.

Keep us updated! I thought I'd have to go to Rochester but I'd be thrilled to be able to do this closer to home.

Possible? πŸ˜… the way I’d be like is it or isn’t it to my surgeon would kill me

Lol, it's because of my length. He isn't fully sure if it's enough.

Back in my day, there were no robots. The surgeon had to operate with their hands!

This is the part where you can tell this older millennial β€œOK, boomer”.

I'm sure that some surgeons still prefer the hands-on methods. There are plenty of surgeries that aren't robotic
