Hello!

I've scoured the forum looking for an answer and didn't find anything.

Today while dilating, my blood sugar got really low. I'm about 45 days post op or so. So, while In the middle of a dilation, I kept it inside of me and waddled over to grab a candy bar. I've had a lot of complications, and I've had a lot of pain dilating, and only have about 4 inches of depth. Now, while I was waddling over kind of squatting, I got almost all the way to the last dot.

I had my legs spread quite a bit and I was leaning forward so it's not like it was extra skin as far as I know. Is it just that the pelvic angle is a little better standing up? If so, should I dilate standing up from now on?

Thanks!

Everyone's vagina, cis or trans, is different.

Aa far as dilation. I'd ask your surgeon.

Sounds like a pelvic floor issue if it goes further in one position than another, you may be able to get more depth laying down with relaxation or pelvic muscle training

Laying down is the position that causes so much pain. I'll have to look into pelvic muscle training. Do you have any videos or guides on that?

No, I was sent to a pelvic floor therapist after bottom surgery cause my vagina was too tight due to pelvic floor muscle control issues. They just taught me some exercises and relaxation techniques and now it’s fine and I’ve had no depth lost at all

That's great! Is this something that you could teach others or something I need to find a therapist for

I’m terrible at teaching others so definitely not me, pelvic floor therapist are somewhat common but not sure many would be willing to see someone for dilation purposes

I've been dilating standing in the shower recently. I like it! Not messy, easy insertion and wash with a douche after! Perfect so far

I'm going to try it! I have POTS so I can't stand usually for more than a couple seconds but I'll figure it out, standing and dilating is PAINLESS and laying flat or slightly seated is agony

Could you make an update on this in the future.
