From other affirming surgeries I’ve had (my bottom surgery is a month away), I’ve had numbness in areas ranging from a week to a year. Eventually it’s always come back. Talk to your doc or post op team. Very pretty btw

who was your surgeon? That looks amazing.

No expert here but I've read it can take as long as a year for sensation to return, so I don't think you should worry too much. I'd say touch base with your doctor if you want some peace of mind though.

Scar tissue is gonna be numb for a bit. I think you can massage it to try and “wake the nerves up” as it were, but I’m not 100% on that.

Been taking for a few days now. To soon to say if it's doing the thing, though it feels like it, but that could be from the massaging.

Thank you for the recommendation.

Hi, i may not be the right person here but did your doc give you a list of things you can expect within like 1 week, 1 month, 2 months, 6 months etc of the surgery. I think that is a thing they are supposed to inform you of

FTM here. My labia and outer skin do not have too much sensation as compared to the rest of my genitalia, and certainly not any erotic sensation. I do see your clitoris and vagina have sensation so that's amazing!

Came to say this as well, especially dulled pain sensations for me in that area

If it's the kind of numbness where you can feel the touch, but it's kinda subdued the chance of improvement is lower. If you just feel nothing when touching it there's a better chance you'll regain feeling.

L-Acetyl carnitine can help with nerve endings.

I didn't have feeling in my clitoris until well over a year after surgery. I had already given up when the feeling started to return. It can take a long time to get feeling back with these sorts of things apparently. I would try not to worry about it and just hope for the best.

From what I understand, that's pretty normal.

My labia was essentially completely numb until around 5 months. Sensation has been coming back in leaps and pauses since then. I'm at just over 7 months now, and I have feeling everywhere, but it's still a bit muted (I can feel I'm being touched, but not what's touching me if that makes sense).

It's normal for all surgeries. As the nerves reconnect you should get an itchiness over numbness sensation as nerves reconnect. There is also a percentage likelihood with an surgery that near the scar you will feel numb or have hypersensitive this is the case with all surgeries. Been then case with my ba, and neck spine surgery. I'm guessing it will be the same with my bottom surgery too
