I used silver nitrate frequently a month after the surgery as instructed by the surgeon.

Initial application doesn’t hurt much, but I did feel a bit of pain and soreness for the first day, things just slowly peel over so I just let it fall by itself.

Usually takes around 3-5 days to fully clean and drop all the dead tissue, because of the soreness I prefer doing it before I sleep so the initial annoyance is avoided

It's posts like this that makes me thankful for this community! Just got silver nitrate today and it didn't hurt that bad during administration but God did it hurt for the rest of the day. Plus I went from having very minimal bleeding to quite a bit. This makes me more thankful to just wait it out!

Not totally sure, but I think it’s supposed to be washed off after application.

I'd guess you should dilate a bit more often to make sure you don't get any adhesion.

No idea, I'm just guessing. I have heard of it healing over the urethra and causing (bad) problems, so I think its possible.

Not sure if it will help, but have a look in the wiki
