How do the dilatations work ? Are you in pain or is okay ? I hope your alright
So I have a set of blue plastic dilators (I’ll add a pic in a future post) that I use to dilate twice a day for half an hour. After the 2 month mark I can go down to once a day. Pain is going quite well, I’ve had 2 weeks of horrible pain from nerve healing but it’s finally going down a lot. Most pain is in the mornings after tossing around in bed all night

Do you mind sharing the price and the time you waited with that surgeon for the surgery and also if you recommend me him as a surgeon I want to get the surgery for summer next year !
Of course Britney, anything for you. The surgery itself was €1750 but count at least another €1000 in hair removal and medical supplies and depending on your insurance hospital room costs. I was referred from a different hospital so from my first consult with him to my surgery itself it was only 6 months. But if you plan on approaching the hospital itself and you’re not in treatment in Ghent yet then the waiting list can be very long unless you have a referral letter from a psychiatrist. I’m not sure on the exact process in that case. But I would definitely recommend him! He’s a really nice guy, super friendly, can ask him a billion questions. He did a really good job too! (Just don’t lose hope in the whole hospital bureaucracy)
What was the waiting time for the first consult after your referral letter? I have my appointment with psychiatrist in September.
I can’t fully comment on that, it’s different for me I was referred by another gender team in the country. I never had to reach out to Ghent, they just called me for an appointment which took only a month for me
I will have my referral by gender team of Genk. I can choose between Dr. Houtmeyers and Dr. Claes. I hope I can have my surgery in April or May 2025. But thanks for your response.

I had 4 sessions of electrolysis, a bit above the shaft and a good sections down the middle of my scrotum but that’s all
