Thanks for the feedback, I’d agree based on what I’ve seen in my research. I really like Jun’s work and I’m hoping I’ll get my consult with Jun scheduled soon, would be easier from a location standpoint as I’m on the West coast anyway, but after researching techniques and surgeons I decided I definitely want to get the peritoneal flap procedure. I’ll be happy with either RBL or Jun, I don’t want to take a chance on this one 😆 Getting FFS first so it’s still a bit early to get excited but I can’t help it.

Insurance Question! I’m having my consult later this month. I’m out of network, but it’s a UHC PPO plan.
How much did you end up needing to pay? And if you were out of network was he successful at getting a single case agreement? Bonus points if United healthcare is what you have, too. 😂
Run as far away from UHC as you can. He is not contracted with many insurance organizations but he will do his best to get a loa filed. UHC is notorious at being difficult to work with and have had other girls get denied with UHC. I have incredibly good insurance so I paid $100 out of pocket and was out of network with him. Jun surgical will do their best to get you covered but depending on what state you live in it might be an option to the year you plan on having surgery to switch to a marketplace bcbs plan that he is in network with to get it covered. I have a good discord group for trans insurance stuff if you want I can dm you details

I am trying! Lol. Lucky I have OON benefits and his hospitals are all in network for me. I work for a really big company so it’s self funded i think just the insurance itself is UHC’s list of providers.
Also I’m in the process of getting another job here and i think they have a BC/BS insurance plan
