Honestly I would recommend you wait and save for a Thai surgeon, or try to get a loan and go to chett/Suporn or someone similar.
Yeah it sucks that it’s more expensive and your insurance won’t cover international surgeries...but debt is something is something you can always pay off later, unsatisfying results or problems with SRS can be forever.
This is an extremely major surgery with high chances of complications....or ending up with unsatisfactory results. IMHO, US/European surgeons using the standard penile Inversion method will leave the patient with a neovagina that doesn’t look quite right... and this can have lasting psychological effects
Do yourself a favor and go to Thailand, they’re massively ahead of the rest of the world when it comes to transgender healthcare.

At the end of the day it’s entirely up to you. Inversion techniques aren’t necessary bad ......but aesthetically and even functionality to a degree... they’re years behind the Thailand no-Penile Inversion technique.
Thailand is just medically more advanced when it comes to SRS.
So yeah....personally I would say it’s worth it, it’s more expensive, it’s a much longer recovery, and the risks/complications of having to travel internationally for a major surgery is massive.
BUT ! what you’re getting in return is a neovagina with unmatched results that look pretty much identical to a biological vagina.
No surgeon in the U.S or Europe can get any kind of result close to Thailand. They can definitely look great and a ton of trans women are happy.
