Brow bossing reduction

I'm currently going through consultations for FFS and one of the surgeons states that he does not do and bone work in terms of resting the brow bone. He would rather do a fat grafting right below the ridge. Is this common? Will most surgeons not touch the brow bossing for reduction?

This sounds like a huge red flag to me. Tbh, it sounds like this surgeon is trying to make up for his own lack of education or ability by performing an inferior procedure instead of learning how to do brow bone reductions, which are one of the most essential procedures to FFS for many trans women.

I'd find another surgeon, but who is it?

Perhaps this will help

This was Dr. Sood at New Horizons in Chicago.

That would be him.

He's a plastic surgeon rather than a maxillofacial surgeon so he's probably not actually able to do bone work. I'd find someone else.

I added him to the wiki. Thanks.

Right below the ridge? So on your upper eyelid? What. Type 3 forehead reduction is a FFS specialty, I don't trust any FFS surgeon that does not do it.

That's exactly it.
