I'm having a hysterectomy tomorrow. I know it's not strictly a transgender surgery, but it's part of my transition and it's basically my first step to hopefully getting bottom surgery next year, so I hope it's okay that I'm posting about it here lol.

And I made it. Honestly it is more uncomfortable than painful atm. Which means that the pain probably comes later

Yep. Currently doing static dilations witch are more uncomfortable than painful, but i also had a bit too much swelling so get to wear a catether a few more days. Pain level has been mostly really low, with a few spikes, but the hospital had excellent pain management.

Hi, I have a couple of questions: why did you choose the suporn clinic? What was your surgeon Dr. Bank or Dr. Suporn ?, recommends the suporn clinic? and how has your recovery been ?, good luck

Hey! Long research and comparing. I was split between Suporn, Chett, McGinn and Ting. The last two were too expensive to me, and their results weren't better. Between Chett and Suporn, Chett seems more like a discount version of Suporn, slightly cheaper but a little worse aftercare, very similar resullts. In the end it seemed to me that the reviews and opinions for the Suporn clinic were higher so went with them.

My surgery was Dr. Bank and he seems like a great guy. So far recovery is ok, and I have had no pain problems (but I'm good with that). And the results look really promising, though it's early to say

Did you have any minor complications? I have a hematoma right now and lots of scabbing around my hood and I'm not sure how normal that is? I just haven't really heard from anyone within the first year of surgery timeline

🤔 I had some tissue loss around the vaginal opening and my labias don't really touch. She told me that kind of stuff happens and everything down there should start to look normal-ish in 10-12 months. Sorry, Idk if there was something specific you were asking about

It's not surgery, but my consult with Dr Dugi got moved up by a month and a half and I'm seeing him in eight days. I'm excited and terrified.

How are you doing so far? Are you leaving this week or will you be staying a bit longer with a visa? I'm about to book a date with Dr. Bank so I'm interested in.. anything really if you mind sharing. :D

I left about 4 weeks after I arrived, some people I was with choose to get the visa, I did not. It's not necessary in most cases, but it can be a bit of fun to arrive early and have a few days to meet everyone before hospital, or stay later than absolutely and get to see a bit more of Thailand. It could also just prolong homesickness, depends on the type of person you are.

I've been home for about a month now and recovery is quite hard, dilation is difficult and time consuming, but my results are fantastic and I'm really pleased with how everything went. I expect to return to work part time two months post op, and full time at 3 months.

Thanks for the reply, great to hear that you're pleased!

I'm considering getting a visa just in case along with a flexible business flight ticket, if I need/want to recover a week or two longer than the minimum time. For some reason I'm worried that I'll recover slower than others usually do.

In what way is the dilation difficult? I hope it's not too hard and wish you a good recovery.

It can sometimes take me two hours to get all the way inside myself and that's just a lot of time, it will get better for sure, but right now it's just a bit tough. You can also get the visa while you're there if you need to. It's one city over and you just take a cab.

I am from Beaverton. When is your surgery planned ? I am hoping providence insurance is able to cover part of this surgery. Let’s see. So far I am pleased.. let’s wait for the sensation/pleasure part when the occasion arises. M

You replied to another post of mine and I check your profile...I am from Portland, but moved to a different state lol. Once I get SRS from Chett and come to Portland to visit my hometown, we'll have to dish on our experiences!
