Just wanted to share my progress at 5 months. Regained full sensation earlier this month, no issues to complain about now :)

Looks amazing! So happy for you girl!

I’d have gone to Dr. MacPhee if she accepted insurance. Unfortunately, I can’t afford to see any surgeon who doesn’t. I hope she reconsiders that someday and starts accepting it again so others can go to her.

Thank you!

Ya I did have to pay upfront but in the end my insurance actually ended up paying 100%. I had out of network benefits so my hospital stay was covered fully and then her office submitted the surgeon’s fee for reimbursement and they paid it 100% after a few months

Yeah my insurance would do the same, but I could never afford to pay up front. I couldn’t even get a loan for a boob job and it took me 3 months just to save half of the money for that. I’m just going to stick with my date with Bluebond-Langner and endure the wait. 11 months to go. Praying it’ll be worth it.

Not to hijack this thread . . . I absolutely will stick with Dr. RBBL no mater how long it takes. Consult not until 02/21, but have not submitted the required letters/surgery packet. Have one letter and must wait 'till my anniversary in November to get the other. I understand that once submitted, I can ask to get on the cancellation list. Had surgery w/her former partner, Dr. Karen E. Boyle this past Monday, and she recommended me to Dr. RBBL. Hang in there . . .

Thanks, and no worries about thread hijacking lol. I do plan on sticking with Dr. Bluebond-Langner. The wait is tough, no doubt about it, but we only get one shot at this so I want to be sure I see the best surgeon available to me.

Hi, I have a couple of questions: how was your recovery so far? What made you choose Dr. MacPhee? Do you recommend Dr. MacPhee? And how do you consider your results in terms of cosmetics, sensitivity and depth?

I had a fast recovery! I went in great detail in my first submission on my profile if you want to read. The first month was rough but i walked out of the hospital after 2 days and was going out with friends by 19 days. I was out shopping after 2 weeks. It took until month 4 to regain most sensitivity. I returned to work after the first month though and did lots of walking each day. At this point I occasionally have little spasms of pain on the surface but i think it’s from inner stitches poking.

I picked Dr. MacPhee because of some results i saw here last year and then after meeting her it pretty much sealed it because she is excellent. Her aftercare is excellent and her communication is excellent. I am 100% happy with cosmetics, sensitivity and depth (7”+)

i definitely recommend her
