I hear you. That's a very familiar feeling for me too. I know it very well. What got me to feel better about my body pre-op was cognitively reframing that negative thought. Instead I focused on what I knew: that she, my body, is going to be there for me in the most important moment of my life - the surgery. She is useful and knows her purpose. Trust in her. Be kind to her. She's the same one that will be there for you when you wake up after surgery. ❤️ Sending hugs your way

OMG! These results are amazing! This was only one month? You're healing so well! I'm still not certain about when or if I will ever have bottom surgery, but with results like this, I am certainly leaning a bit more towards getting it eventually

Thanks Ella yes this was at 1 month. I hope it helps to see regular photos of results instead of photos surgeons take (:

2

It really does. Surgical photos are just too recent and don't give a good idea of what the results will be after healing.

If this is 1 month, I know you are gonna be super happy after like 6 or a year!

So so so true about surgical photos!!! It's difficult to feel the human context behind them, and picture yourself in their shoes. It's such an intimate and personal part of the body that those photos just don't do it justice.

Thanks for the encouragement 🥰 I'm at month 4 right now and in some ways I still don't feel out of the woods yet! I look forwards to every day because it just keeps getting better and better ❤️

Thank you! I seem to have less pain than other folx wrt sitting / dilating / etc, I don't have much trouble doing any regular activity. I do worry about the orgasm though - like, there's no place that feels super Good when I (gently!) rub it, and there's nothing that resembles a clitoris the way that cis vaginas have it

2
OP
Mon Apr 13 05:36:28 2020 UTC
(4 children)

You're very lucky about the sitting and dilating! That's amazing! As for the orgasm.. The clitoris was made from the head of your penis set inside of you. Keep trying and stay patient(: everything will come back online before you know it(: I can only orgasm from clitotal stimulation so far. Mostly light to moderate pressure and rubbing vibrations do it for me. That being said.. fingering my vagina still feels weird. It's usually the last thing to come back online, so I've heard.

Bodies are so different, I can't feel anything on my vag but my G-spot feels as amazing as ever at 2mo, wayyy better than anything clitoral

1
Mon Apr 13 06:02:02 2020 UTC

(1 child)

Dr. Wittenberg in SF - one thing to know is, it's actually way deeper than it "should" be, it's like probably at the 3rd dot of the Soulsource dilator, you might not be able to reach it with your fingers like you could pre-op.

Put the dilator in (oddly, sometimes smaller ones work better than bigger ones), put it in to the 3rd dot or so, push the dilator down towards the floor (i.e. so the end inside you tilts up), then move it back and forth like you're trying to scratch an itch, it'll work better if you're already a little turned on. You'll know when you find it I promise :)

OP

Omg I'm so stoked to try this!! I've heard really good things about Wittenberg. It sounds like you're happy with your results so far! Thank you for the wonderful advice!!

Movement was really good at 1 month! I was still taking it very easy at home, in bed for 95% of the day, but walking did feel way better than standing still.

3
Sun Apr 12 20:19:23 2020 UTC

How far into recovery are you now? How does everything feel, movement-wise?

7
OP
Sun Apr 12 20:27:53 2020 UTC
(2 children)

I'll be 4 months postop on April 17th. Movement wise everything is great. Nowadays the surgical site only feels tired and like it's being pulled downwards.. After about 2hrs of standing up or constant movement. Although I don't have lower abdominal when flexing my abs anymore.. I still haven't excersized yet since the surgery. I can imagine sitting on a bike seat being very uncomfortable still. Week by week things are steadily improving and the postop discomfort is lessening. Can't wait for the day that I get back to my workout routine!! I might wait until month 6-7 just to make sure everything's ok.

Wow that looks great :) do you mind if I ask what age you are ? Did you do HRT prior to surgery and for how long ? Also with the orgasming side of things I’ve read that the older you are when having the surgery less chance of orgasm etc , obviously not sure if that’s true or not .

2
OP

Hey! Good questions. I'm 26. I was on hrt for 1 and 3/4 years. I was able to orgasm at 2.5 months post-op from clitotal stimulation, and now, at 6.5 months post-op my vaginal canal is becoming more pleasurable as the surgery discomfort lessens each week.

Hi and Thanks for reply :) That’s great your can enjoy all that , I’m 44 and i will most likely start HRT at end of the year , is it better to get the bottom surgery when starting HRT or is it ok to wait ?

OP

Congrats on starting hrt soon!!!!! I believe according to WPATH guidelines you must be on HRT for minimum 1 year before a surgeon is allowed to perform a vaginoplasty on you.

Ting is a wizard, haha! I had the regular scrotal skin vaginoplasty.

1
Sun Apr 12 20:09:08 2020 UTC
(2 children)

Oh so a non-inversion ?

2
Sun Apr 12 20:12:20 2020 UTC
(1 child)

Ting does a penile inversion with tunica vaginalis graft (the tissue that lines the testes and was previously discarded). They only do a peritoneal graft in the effort of a revision or lack of material.

1
Sun Apr 12 20:15:36 2020 UTC
(0 children)

Oh for a moment, when talking about scrotal skin I thought they were offering the non-inversion that Chett & cie do.

I had read post which made me think anybody could ask for the peritoneal method with Ting now. Didn't know it was still only if there was a lack of material.

This looks amazing! I was just telling my fiancé how all the result pics I’ve seen are from angles that no one (other than a dr) will really see on a regular basis. I was telling him how I would love to see results from the back, since that’s a more common viewpoint (in terms of sex; yes, I know).
