Index post here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Transgender_Surgeries/comments/fd2uzf/6_days_postop_with_dr_bluebondlangner_peritoneal/

I'm at the 12 week mark, which means I am officially cleared to take baths, have penetrative sex, and go down to two dilations per day. I'm still hitting the thumb notch on the #4 Soul Source dilator, meaning I'm getting about 7~ inches of depth.

So far no major issues - still getting a small amount of discharge, but nothing that suggests an infection. I'm douching about twice a week with 1:1 vinegar and water, which keeps everything under control. I'm going to try going down to weekly douching, and see if I can keep a good flora.

Sensation-wise, everything is good. I can have clitoral orgasms, no pain day to day, and while dilating can be difficult initially I usually relax eventually at which point I start my timer. I've been going for daily walks, including up and down hills, and I do feel like I'm roughly at where I was before in terms of physicality. I'm looking forward to getting better from here :)

It looks pretty good and if you have good sensation and depth then this is wonderful result.
Will skin redness go away with time?

Yes usually scars fade including their colouration, the inside bit however is meant to be pinkish red

I believe so! The scars themselves have healed up pretty well, and I think they'll improve still, so. I think I still have a lot of healing still to do, but I'm really happy with it. I do think maybe I would want my labia minora revised, I have a lot of tissue there and it can look a little... baggy? at times.

Looking stunning. If you don't mind me asking, how much did it cost? I'm looking to get PPT without insurance and I'm hearing figures of around $100k+ 😭

My insurance paid out lots, but Bluebond-Langner takes a bunch of different insurances including NYS Medicaid IIRC. I paid my max out of pocket, which was about $1500~, and then money for my hotel and flights.

Sure! So, the vulva is made of a combination of scrotal, penile, and urethra tissue. The canal is a combination of: penile at the entrance, then scrotal, and finally peritoneal tissue capping the end. This comes from the lining around your internal organs, and is mucosal, while not having the same issues colon tissue grafts can have. There's plenty of info on the wiki!

The fact that this picture is only 3 months in absolutely blows my mind.

Congrats, it continues to be a really impressive result!
