I’m well past any immediate healing or pain, now comes the waiting for them to settle and waiting for nerve sensation to return. Really, best gift I ever got, even if it came from myself! Very much looking forward to my follow up appointment on Wednesday.

It’s a great gift! How long do they usually take to settle?

Some will say it could take up to six months, but three is more likely.

Any issues with incisions through tattoos?

Nope! My chest piece stops right above my nipples and the incisions are on my underbust. I’m so thankful for that🖤

I'm mortally afraid of having my tattoos sewed up crooked...

Me too. That was my worry. Do you have a chest piece?

Yes and I'm concerned it's going to look dumb after BA. I've been considering laser tattoo removal. At first I was just thinking about the chest, but now I'm considering starting over completely and having all my tattoos removed.

That is tough. Maybe discuss it with Dr?

that sounds concerning. did the doctor get your consent to implant that size? I wouldn't want to wake up to a surprise like that..

Cool cool. Your pic looks like it was from a hospital bed, and you mentioned this morning, so I wasn't sure. Congrats to you!

Congratulations!

When I had my right hip replaced, my surgeon admired my tat and told me he would be certain to keep it intact. The incision, which is extremely hard to see -- it's a thin white line -- is nowhere near my tattoo. He was a wonderful person and a skilled surgeon. He's retired now.
