Hi everyone, just wanted to show a ffs recovery timeline. The first few days were brutal but as you can see the body heals pretty quickly when you compare the photos. Video is pre-ffs to about 8 days post op. Just wanted to share in case anyone else is about to go through this because i personally Was fully of anxiety, and plastic surgery is often glamorized but that is not reality at all. <3

Omgeeze these were within 8 days? I was scared it was a long about of time thinking weeks. But I am glad it wasn't and love the results!

Thanks for sharing. It probably seems like it took a long time to heal but I was surprised at how much short it was than I expected. I know it can take 6-12 months for all the swelling to abate but one can see that the results are already great. Congrats!

Omg this looks so scary but seeing how much the swelling goes down just after a week is amazing. I’m currently saving for ffs. How much pain were you in? And what was the cost like?

Glad to hear the pain was minimal!! I was wincing watching this video imagining how much pain you must’ve been in. You are healing beautifully. Wishing you luck on your journey.

This reminds me of my first FFS last year. I didn't start to look like a person for like 2 months and it took several more months for most of the rest of the swelling to subside. FFS recovery is hard! You're doing great!

Looks like awesome results!

Which surgeon was this if you don't mind?

Dr Peter Raphael in Plano Texas. They do free email consults that’s what I did.

Awesome! Thanks for answering!

I was thinking about going with him for my ffs. Because he is the closest to me. I can't really afford to take two round trip flights and hotel visits to san Francisco plus a huge deposit.

Does he require a deposit?

Yes the deposit was 2500, he is super friendly I loved him

Where do they make the incision to do the lip lift? I'm almost 3 weeks post-op, had my brow fixed and a full rhinoplasty, but I'm worried about my philtrum ending up longer after the swelling goes down. I'm wanting a very minor lift to one side of my upper lip anyway so I don't have to overline in different amounts, but if I'll end up needing more I'd like to know what to expect :)

The lip lift incision is right at the bottom of the nose where it intersects the upper lip.

Thanks, I saw the surgeon on the 1 week follow up when they took the hard cast off and they were cautioning me with the “don’t freak out, it’s super swollen, you won’t see the true results for almost a year” and even swollen was like a million times better than before. They essentially said “if you like it already when it’s this bad, just wait, you’re gonna love it in a few months :)”

They said the same thing to me! In my video where you see my nose revealed for the first time, they just took the cast off and my mouth was open Bc I was like “WOW IM SO HAPPY” when I looked in the mirror the nurse gave me

Thanks for posting this!

I actually had my procedure done 3 weeks ago. I'm in Arlington, so we're really close! I only had half the stuff done to me that you did... But I hope everything ends up exactly how you want it

Thank you I wanted to go for as natural as I could considering it is a lot of procedures, and I just posted the procedures above :). Obviously going to look a bit plastic but I would rather look like that than a boy anyday. You have to have realistic goals it’s not magic.

Is the amount of swelling and bruising normal? Especially the lips? What was done to your lips?

I don't remember seeing so much swelling and bruising with Facial Team (Spain) reviews.

Also, u/AlwaysHungryAndSaddd was the hairline lowering really necessary? Or is that scar at the hairline for something else?

I had a lip lift. I did not have filler- I actually had my lip filler dissolved before surgery because I wanted a more subtle result. I think I was so swollen because I had mostly everything on my face altered.

I wanted my hairline lowered on the temples not so much the center, so that’s why I had that done as well

Nope :), surgery is traumatic and causes swelling. See my comments . Kisses

You healed very fast, your recovery was impressive, probably because you're very young. What did you have done?

OP

I did brow bossing, brow lift, hairline lowering, rhinoplasty, cheek implants, lip lift, chin and jaw contouring, Buccal fat pad removal, and neck/jaw lipo

Thank you thank you thank you!! 209 days until my FFS❤🤞. 8 days doesn't seem so long. Did you have upper lip done or injections in lips? Or possibly both.

I just had a lip lift, so they reduced the distance between my upper lip and nose. Everything just swells like crazy haha!! I also think there was bruising on my lips from my mouth being held open during surgery.

I'm having the same procedures upper lip reduction nose job and forehead reduction. I was so happy when I got my date. Then I was getting anxious, now I feel a bit more at peace. This helps! You look amazing already!!❤❤❤❤

Glad I could help someone mentally prepare. Honestly the first 4 days I mostly laid in bed and slept, and the pain meds work very well so I didn’t experience anything other than a headache. You’ll get your energy back pretty quick. I wish you the best of luck and results !!

I am so excited for this and so happy for you. I am halfway there. I have state insurance so they require a letter from my therapist. But I am going to get that next week. I am going to hope that I can get my surgery at the beginning of the year

Well first congratulations sis 👏 I'm the same as you and im going to do the email online consultation. I wanted to ask you if it was insurance or out of pocket for you? I'm doing out of pocket, I saw you said it was around 30k for you so like im really hoping its less for me since I just want like 3 things done lol
