The left (my left) is looking a lot better. The right labia minora seems to be swollen and part of the right labia majora. But I'll take some tonight.

Just PIV. Although a friend of mine is going to probably do the sigmoid colnovaginoplasty with him in 2022.

I had a consult scheduled in early October but wussed out when I saw that one post where the girl was like how bad is it. I messaged her and had nothing positive to say. So I am glad to hear this, she was the only bad experience I've read of him though. . This isn't the first time since I've given it a second thought. Surgery will happen faster with him than avanessian. I got a July 9tj consult, September was when I was to to expect surgery with her.

I am doing pretty well, especially considering it is 3 weeks out. But that's probably because I am young (19), no risk factors (never done drugs, alcohol, or smoked), and physically active (I walk every time I am anxious)

Regardless, I wish you the best with your surgery!!!!

Did you ever have any bad pain? What options did you have for pain management?

I had a picture of my meds, but I seem to have deleted it, so this is from memory.

Stiller's office have me meds for the 2 weeks after I was discharged from the office.

  1. I was offered Percocet for breakthrough pain (not for all days, only a few pills). But I didn't fill that
  2. Gabapentin once every 6 hours (nerve blocker)
  3. Ibuprofen once every 6 hours (that means at 3 am as well)
  4. Acetaminophen every 6 hours (not an opiod)
  5. Probiotic every 12 hours (lot of meds for my gut)
  6. Sulfameth every 12 hours (antibiotic, don't want an infection)

While on the meds I had little to no pain. The worst was after they removed the catheter and I had to walk back to the Airbnb (I ended up taking an Uber it was that bad). Otherwise I was mobile and only had minor pains sitting and lying in weird positions.

Now that it's been 3 weeks, I do still have some minor pain, but nothing to bad. Mostly nerves reconnecting, and me being stupid.

What was first dilation like? And what’s it like how?

5
Thu Dec 31 00:05:35 2020 UTC

Not too bad, some blood, a bit of pain. I don't really remember. The douching was worse, for the first week (after packing was removed) or so it was very bloody.

Nowadays it's not that painful, I even moved up a dilator! Occasionally my morning dilation can be a bit tight. The extra lube can be difficult to deal with. Some blood also comes out every now and then.

Mostly it's boring, I've tried playing games, not particularly easy. And the only lesson I learned the hard way DON'T WATCH COMEDIES WHILE DILATING!!! I've had a dilator take flight before, did not feel good.

Did you have genital hair removal prior to surgery or did Dr. Stiller scrape the follicles?

I did laser hair removal, and he also scraped the follicles.

Yep! And I also go to college in the PNW.

Best of luck with your surgery in March! I am going back in March for a follow-up so maybe we'll cross paths.

NO WAY!!! THAT IS INCREDIBLE!!! How much did it cost you?

3
Wed Dec 30 19:11:00 2020 UTC
(10 children)

Not counting lodging and food and post insurance. Around $1900, but I got lucky because I met my out of pocket early. The pre insurance cost was $74,819 ( not counting lodging or food ). That breaks down to:

  1. $48,943.00 to the hospital
  2. $22,783.50 surgeon fee
  3. $2.770.00 anesthesia
  4. Pathology and other small fees

wait meeting your out of pocket early? how does that work?

3
Wed Dec 30 19:58:37 2020 UTC
(8 children)

Once the it of pocket maximum is met, no more charges.

Say I had an out of pocket maximum of $3,000. Once I spend $3,000 on medical care no more charges. Assuming the charges were covered by insurance (not elective). Different then deductible.

My family had other medical charges this year. So I had met my out of pocket early.

I'm still confused... Sorry for being such a dipshit but I don't understand how that works still. Could you maybe go as in depth as possible about how it went down? it might help

Before going into surgery I had met my deductible (let's say it was 5,000) because I had spent $5,500 on health coverage.

If I had an out of pocket maximum of 7,500 that would mean once I spend an additional $2,000 I would no longer pay out of pocket, it would be 100% insurance.

In my real life insurance my family had already spent a large amount that was covered (accident prone). So I wasn't far off from the out of pocket maximum. That's why the surgery was approximately $2,000.

He did mention that he did revisions. I am holding off on judging my aesthetics until I see him in March.

But how was that process for you? were you in the office or at Deaconess? (Stiller has free revisions for patients that went to him initially so I might consider it)
