What type of surgery? I know he performs at least 2 different techniques
Just PIV. Although a friend of mine is going to probably do the sigmoid colnovaginoplasty with him in 2022.
I had a consult scheduled in early October but wussed out when I saw that one post where the girl was like how bad is it. I messaged her and had nothing positive to say. So I am glad to hear this, she was the only bad experience I've read of him though. . This isn't the first time since I've given it a second thought. Surgery will happen faster with him than avanessian. I got a July 9tj consult, September was when I was to to expect surgery with her.
I am doing pretty well, especially considering it is 3 weeks out. But that's probably because I am young (19), no risk factors (never done drugs, alcohol, or smoked), and physically active (I walk every time I am anxious)
Regardless, I wish you the best with your surgery!!!!
Did you ever have any bad pain? What options did you have for pain management?
I had a picture of my meds, but I seem to have deleted it, so this is from memory.
Stiller's office have me meds for the 2 weeks after I was discharged from the office.
While on the meds I had little to no pain. The worst was after they removed the catheter and I had to walk back to the Airbnb (I ended up taking an Uber it was that bad). Otherwise I was mobile and only had minor pains sitting and lying in weird positions.
Now that it's been 3 weeks, I do still have some minor pain, but nothing to bad. Mostly nerves reconnecting, and me being stupid.
What was first dilation like? And what’s it like how?
Not too bad, some blood, a bit of pain. I don't really remember. The douching was worse, for the first week (after packing was removed) or so it was very bloody.
Nowadays it's not that painful, I even moved up a dilator! Occasionally my morning dilation can be a bit tight. The extra lube can be difficult to deal with. Some blood also comes out every now and then.
Mostly it's boring, I've tried playing games, not particularly easy. And the only lesson I learned the hard way DON'T WATCH COMEDIES WHILE DILATING!!! I've had a dilator take flight before, did not feel good.
Did you have genital hair removal prior to surgery or did Dr. Stiller scrape the follicles?
I did laser hair removal, and he also scraped the follicles.
Thank you for answering my questions. I have surgery with him in March. Do you live in Washington as well?
Yep! And I also go to college in the PNW.
Best of luck with your surgery in March! I am going back in March for a follow-up so maybe we'll cross paths.
looks good! Enjoy :-)
I'm going to go not cry in the shower. WOOHOO!!!!
I can finally shower with the lights on
NO WAY!!! THAT IS INCREDIBLE!!! How much did it cost you?
Not counting lodging and food and post insurance. Around $1900, but I got lucky because I met my out of pocket early. The pre insurance cost was $74,819 ( not counting lodging or food ). That breaks down to:
wait meeting your out of pocket early? how does that work?
Once the it of pocket maximum is met, no more charges.
Say I had an out of pocket maximum of $3,000. Once I spend $3,000 on medical care no more charges. Assuming the charges were covered by insurance (not elective). Different then deductible.
My family had other medical charges this year. So I had met my out of pocket early.
I'm still confused... Sorry for being such a dipshit but I don't understand how that works still. Could you maybe go as in depth as possible about how it went down? it might help
I'll message you later, but here are two images that might help.
ok! i await your message
Before going into surgery I had met my deductible (let's say it was 5,000) because I had spent $5,500 on health coverage.
If I had an out of pocket maximum of 7,500 that would mean once I spend an additional $2,000 I would no longer pay out of pocket, it would be 100% insurance.
In my real life insurance my family had already spent a large amount that was covered (accident prone). So I wasn't far off from the out of pocket maximum. That's why the surgery was approximately $2,000.
ohhhhhh if only my insurance covered it

YOU GOT THIS!!!!! And I hope there's still some snow on the ground in Spokane for you to enjoy!
[deleted]
Hopefully somewhere warm. Spokane is cold.
And feel free to message me if you have any questions about Spokane. I have some recommendations from friends in the area.

He did mention that he did revisions. I am holding off on judging my aesthetics until I see him in March.
But how was that process for you? were you in the office or at Deaconess? (Stiller has free revisions for patients that went to him initially so I might consider it)
[deleted]
Thank you for clarifying! I'll keep that in mind. And I'm happy to hear you are doing better.
That is amazing, a mark of a good surgeon when they offer free revisions like that
Yeah! And I know a lot of people mention it, but he's full of energy and very friendly. All around cool surgeon.
Thats awesome, your results are amazing. Hope your recovery keeps going well for you. And thanks for sharing your results. I would be to shy to do so lol so admire the gals on here that do.
Finding info and pictures on surgeons works regarding srs can be difficult
Early days, but i must say you look great,

Thanks! I'm doing an update today (I have to edit what I've written). It's looking a lot better, not sure about my vulva though. I also have a touch of dehiscence.
Awesome
