FAQs:

Procedures done – brow reduction, scalp advancement, rhinoplasty, upper lip reduction, genioplasty, and jawline reduction

Surgeon – Deschamps-Braly

Cost – $10 K with fancy insurance

Other surgeons considered - None. He’s the best.

Time on HRT – 9 years

Afterthoughts - The swelling at 1 month made the results difficult to discern, and the shock hair loss now at the 3 month mark makes it harder to see the scalp advancement. But, it was totally worth it and I’m happy with the results!

Omg, looks amazing!! And wow, you only had to pay 10k?! :) What insurance do you have?

I'm saving money to have surgery with him one day since he really is the best IMO also. Got quoted so much money at my consult though.

Thank you 😊 Yeah, I got sticker shock at first quote, too! But, my insurance (I work in Big Tech) seems to cover nearly all of it. I would highly recommend having some insurance coverage before paying out of pocket with Dr. D-B

Was that after reimbursement? I had to pay out the wazoo Audi MSRP price range, but after reimbursement, only paid $3k.

No reimbursement yet. But, the insurance isn’t totally resolved. I’d be thrilled if my costs got down to $3 K!

It took mine about 8-9 months and 5 resubmissions. Don’t settle for anything less if they say they cover FFS. Yeah $3k was my in network out of pocket maximum.

Do you know what it would have cost without insurance?

DM’d you the info

EDIT: I’m getting many requests for this. So ...

I can tell folks the total estimate and the total billed to the insurance company, but I can’t say how much they would’ve charged me without insurance. They already had my insurance info when quoting the estimate, so there was no reason for them to list alternative pricing. Having said that, I would not recommend Dr. D-B unless you have some kind of insurance coverage.

I'd also like this if possible! He's on my list of surgeons but can't get insurance since I'm in the UK.

Please DM me as well. I’m having a terrible time getting insurance to cover ffs here in Nashville.

Apologies, but may I request a similar DM? I have my consultation with him in a month and I think I'll be deciding between him and FacialTeam. <3

Wow you can sooo see the difference with swelling between month one and 3 months. I’m 2 months post op so this is inspirational

Yep, hang in there! I was told I wouldn’t see the final results until around 6 months

Wow, this is exactly what I'd want if I get FFS. It looks amazing, so natural I doubt anyone would ever be able to tell, but so drastic!! I love how you look like exactly the same person, no one feature is really noticeably different and yet it totally changes the way your face reads: so much younger and more feminine. I'll definitely consider Dr. DB if I ever seriously look into FFS (especially for the forehead, it's crazy how natural it looks for such an aggressive reduction). You look great!

Those pictures are really helpful. Thank you for posting them. Are those the kinds of pictures, w/o makeup, same lighting, and all the same angles before and after, that you were able to see of previous patients, during your initial in person consultation ? Impressive and there was a further large improvement from 1 month to 3 months. Congratulations. Well done!

Thanks ☺️ I took these pics myself with my phone. The doctor’s office has higher quality pics with better lighting

Is there any numbness...you look great 😊💖 thanks for sharing.

Thanks 😊 There is still numbness on the top of my head above the incision at the hair line. Dr. D-B says this will last up to 2 years post op. I’ve got feeling back every where else now, though.

Your results are amazing! I consulted with him a few weeks back, but am having trouble coming to terms with the hairline scar.

What were your thoughts on this? Would it be possible to ever wear your heart back like that without the scar being front and center?

2
OP

Thanks 😊 Yeah, the incision at my hairline is still visible, but it should lighten up considerably by 9 months. Also, another doctor mentioned that laser treatment on the scar is possible if there is still discoloration. So, I’m not too concerned about it at the moment.

Edit: For now, I just cover it with makeup or a hair band.

your pre-op front and quarter profiles were alreadyvery nice, but the surgical results are still nice. the change for the side profile is quite impressive. quite. looks like change from 50 year old woman to 30 year old :)

i hadn't considered FFS, but the last couple results people posted are making me wonder if its wise to write it off...
