Girl those are some great results!!! If you don't mind me asking, I have a few questions:

  1. Were you considering any other surgeons? If so, which ones, and what made you go with McGinn? Would you be able to discuss your thought process?
  2. Is McGinn still doing modified PI? I heard someone say she doesn't like to refer to her technique as PI, so I'm wondering what she actually does.
  3. Are you happy with various elements of the surgery (aesthetics, sensation, depth...)?
  4. From the photos, it looks like your labia minora are extended to the base of the vulva, and even looks like they might meet in a fourchette. Is this the case?

Not op, but am 5 weeks post op with Mcginn:

  1. Is McGinn still doing modified PI?

She does a hybrid scrotal/penile graft

  1. From the photos, it looks like your labia minora are extended to the base of the vulva, and even looks like they might meet in a fourchette. Is this the case?

This is the biggest reason I went with Mcginn. She gets the inner labia / fourchette so right, which is rare.

Thanks for sharing! It really looks like she does. In my opinion, she seems to be the best option in North America

does suporn get the inner labia/fourchette right?

He normally does get the labia minora right, but unfortunately revisions are often needed for the commissures. This goes for most surgeons, and is actually one of the selling points for me seeing him: his willingness to revise his results to make them even better. Normally the initial surgery will create good labia minora with a wider anterior commissure and no posterior commissure (although the minora will end below the vagina, as in cis women). A lot of women choose to go back for the anterior commissure, and some choose to get the posterior commissure, although it has a high rate of tearing. For most women, it's not that necessary, as the labia minora already run to the base of the vulva and usually end very close together anyway. It's the patient's choice, though.

IMO Suporn does that very well. I actually found Mcginn because I was looking for US surgeons who get similar results.

Yeah, I'm planning on going to the Suporn clinic, but McGinn is a very close second choice for me, and I'd be very confident seeing her if I couldn't go to Suporn for whatever reason

Me again, not OP, 5 weeks post op.

  1. Are you happy with various elements of the surgery (aesthetics, sensation, depth...)?
  • Aesthetics: I look similar to OP but with more swelling because I'm earlier in the process. I've been delighted ever since they took the bandages off and it just keeps getting better!
  • Sensation: Lots of numb areas still, but sensation is already very good. Both my g-spot and clit are very much online! I wasn't supposed to, but I kinda cheated and had my first post-op O a couple of days ago! Absolutely incredible!
  • Depth: I started at 5.5" and am up to 6". Honestly that's not a huge deal to me though as a lesbian.

10/10, would recommend 😊

Thanks for sharing!! Judging from what I've seen, McGinn results can look really good early in the healing process (I've seen 2 week post op results that honestly looked several months along lol)

That's exactly what I thought when I saw myself the first time. I was fully ready for it to be a complete mess and to have to trust the healing process, but it was already so very right!

Not OP, but I have GCS in 2 weeks with Dr. McGinn, and explained my thought process in my consultation writeup .

I think I remember reading that a while ago, and as I recall it was super detailed and informative. I'll definitely look it over again. Thanks for making it too, we don't get a lot of detailed consultation write ups!

Penetration possible?

Dr. McGinn costs $25k including the hospital and anaesthesiologist. Penetration should be possible. Note I'm not OP.

Hi , Yes 18,190$ is her fee , not including hospital stay and anestesia , plus travel and stay . So yea I spend roughly 25k , only got about 4K reimbursement from BCBS of Illinois PPO.

Botched how? Is it not healing right?

1

Lol It's healing. But inside it's rupturing and reclotting. So it's kinda big right now.

1
Thu Jun 3 16:13:43 2021 UTC
(2 children)

Oh ok. I was nervous for a second. I've heard hematomas happen sometimes, but that they are fine and will go away on their own, just causes pain while it heals. Tight underwear is supposed to help initially I think. I was worried something else happened, I'm getting mine taken care of soon from the same doctor, that's why I was curious.

1
Fri Jun 4 16:45:01 2021 UTC

I recommend undergarments with tight underwear until the bleeding has stopped for two days. Then after that, REALLY tight underwear. But only as tight as the pain level allows.

Not OP, but am now 25 days post-op with her. Have had no issues with getting in touch with either her medical staff or as needed the doctor herself. In general her staff, medical and otherwise, is amazing.
