Here's my 3 month post-op photos following the 1st of a 2 stage operation with Dr Schaff in Potsdam, Germany.
This month, I've noticed swelling going down a lot. I've completely stopped using a ring cushion, I don't think I've used it once since I last posted. I can now use the biggest dilator at the start, or the next size down without lube. This has only come about in the last week or so, I was worried that I'd be stuck dilating twice a day forever but although I've not gone down to a couple of times a week just yet, I think that is only a week or two away, things feel a lot easier now.
Sensation-wise I've made progress. The clitoris is very sensitive, and not all in a good way - there's still more pain sensors there than I think there should be! Internally, I've noticed the fidelity of sense improve dramatically - I can feel any lumps and bumps in the condom I place over my dilator far more than I did before.
Some of the photos here show my placeholder inserted. This is a condom filled with gauze dressings and inserted with the help of a stiff but flexible tube. I'm hoping that this can be cut right back in a couple of weeks too.
As ever, please feel free to ask any questions either here or in DMs.
I've recently begun to think about the possibility of SRS in my life, and your story is giving me courage to finally go for it and get started with the process. Much love, Carol.
2 questions, why the condom? At 3 months you are even cleared for sex so you would not have any wound infection? I just wash my dilators and save them in a clean space, thats it haha!
Second question why do you have to put gauze inside you?
Not a question but... GREAT RESULTS SIS!
I was cleared for sex at 8 weeks, but haven't had any yet... The dilators aren't hard plastic, but a fairly rigid foam. They have a little bit of 'give' in them. They're the ones my surgeon insists on. They arrive with a condom over them, and you put another one over the top when you use it - the foam wouldn't be easy to wash at all.
The gauze placeholder (inside another condom) is there to help keep internal shape while everything settles down. I tried going without about a month ago, and it made insertion of the dilator more difficult, so I started back with it again. It seems to be more of a European thing, I know a lot of surgeons don't do this.
Although I'm supposed to be going down to twice a week now - I went from 3x a day to 2x just over 3 weeks ago - I'll be going to once a day, then every other day, as I feel comfortable, and I'm dropping the placeholder from today onwards.
“Placeholder,” is that inside you all day?
Yes, I change it after every dilation. I got through a lot of condoms in the last 3 months!
This is a great idea! Might put this in my routine for days where I’m not doing much
TY. Your results look amazing!
Looks like your Dr did a real good job
Beautiful.
Looks😊 good sister! Can't wait for the day i get srs. Hope it looks as good as yours! all the love doggo
Looks great
Your depth looks amazing! May I ask did they do the penile inversion or the sigmoid colon? Or penile peritoneal
It's a combination method, so elements of PI, scrotal and urethral lining are used. I've gone into a bit more detail about this in my posts from previous months if you're interested
Truly, gorgeous. Congrats 👏🎉
That’s great depth, congratulations! Plus she’s gorgeous 🤗
Do you know what tissue was used for the pink inside?
That depends on which part! There's a whole mix of stuff going on, but there's penile skin and glans in there - some of it is my unhooded clitoris, which will be covered a bit more after the revision surgery in September.
