Im writing this as i finish my fourth dilation of the day. 1 week to go and im done to 3 a day! This is my experience so far with dr Brassard at grs mtl. All the pictures are in time order. Im showing my results because this community helped me and still does! Please be critic but also respectfull.. Also english is not my first language.

Pain never went up over 5/10 even at the clinic. Dilating was super easy at first because they make you start the day that they remove the package, with the green one for 5 mins then the orange one for 20-25 mins. The 2 weeks after i left were more difficult, it was very unconfortable to dilate and i was checking the timer a lot because 20 minutes was the most i could handle. After those weeks it became easier but its still very tight. The first of the day is alway the worst and well.. dilation are hard on the body so its very sore. I can take the dilators to the 2-3rd dots, im fine with it.

The stictches under the opening opened up a bit. While looking a bit scary it dosent hurt and the white-yellowish stuff is cellular debris that is very normal. Recovery is not linear, i would say that at the hospital its fresh and all the medication make it easier, at least for me. The worst part was the second week!

I still have a feeling of something stuck/sticked at the clitoris level that make me crazy!! Its like whatever leg movement or squatting dosent get rid of it...no im not dancing mom! Anyone relate? And why my vulva not pink like some many others girls?

Sitting down and staying up for too long still are not very not pleasant.

Sorry fot the bad lightning of my room in the last photos. The swelling comes and goes, its usually better in the morning and there is more labia definition.

You’re healing well! I’m also 4 weeks post op with Brassard but I had complications. I’m a bleeder so had to go back to surgery the same day to fix haemorrhage. Lost a lot of blood, and have had much more swelling and bruising than normal. Still bleeding from an incision wound… It takes time. A lot longer than I expected, but very happy it’s done.

Congratulations sister! Xox 🤗🤗🤗

Did you go to brassard too? For me, i guess the 3rd was the better one because i felt like it stopped being painfull to dilate. Right now i think there is a bit of granulation tissues forming that are very annoying and bled a bit on my last dilation. Hold on its get slowly better every day :)

I did! Things are still very messy and bloody for me 12 days out from surgery, and I still have some gauze on my clit. Looking forward to this part being over!

Have you heard from Dr. Brassard's team about the stuck sensation with your clitoris? I'm entering week three of my recovery (was in the same batch as u/Kiss_of_Beth ) and that sensation has been there for me too. It started for me on day 4 after waking up and pulling something when I stretched; it was really bad during my stay and I needed the good painkillers to deal with it, but it's just uncomfortable now.

I haven't had any answer from his team either, but I wonder if it's bloodflow to the clit being restricted by something... the stitches, maybe?

Hey! I dont have any updates.. it's still there at week 5 but it get better with time i guess. I remember when my first week out of hospital it felt way worst like an erection that is blocked? I hope its the stitches and not erectile tissues or something. My roomie is on reddit too 🤣

The first 4 weeks its hard to do anything else, but 3 a day liberate some space to leave the house i would say and i guess that the moment of the dilation can be changed a bit to adapt to whatever you have that day

Thanks so much for sharing!! As for your concern:

And why my vulva not pink like some many others girls?

Dr. Brassard uses urethral mucosa to line the inner vulva, and I think for some it takes a while for the tissue to calm down and lose the "red and irritated" appearance. Don't worry, you're only a month out!

Can confirm that the red and irritated appearance is normal. I have that appearance too and I'm 1 months post op as well from GRS Montreal. My doctor at my post op visit recently said it's normal for that to occur and will become pink over time as things heal.

Thank you so much for your reply! So it will get pink over time is that it?!

I'm not entirely sure, but most longer-term results from surgeons who do this seem to :)

My main point is that you can't really judge what the end result will look like at this point (although I know it's hard not to jump to conclusions). Good luck on recovery, I hope the rest goes well!!

They have offered me a date in April or May. I have not done much genital electrolysis. Can any one comment on their hair removal technique to help me decide if I should hold off and get cleared off first, or can I rely on the effectiveness of their procedure? Many Thanks from BC Canada.
