Ha! Thank you. Yeah it's a /bit/ swollen for the understatement of the year, but looks nowhere near as bas as I'd imagined it to at this point to be honest (:
I hope mother nature smiles on you and your recovery goes good
Thank you! That's all we can hope for innit
7 months to go for my surgery at the Suporn Clinc (with Dr Bank).
It really, really helps when people such as yourself post their progress pics and talk a bit about how it went/is going for them.
I fully agree. I'm not sure I would've even had the courage to go through with it if I didn't get to see people talking (and showing) results online. (:
Wow! That looks great! The swelling should go down and it looks like it'll heal up really nicely. Congrats!
Congratulations! That catheter cannot be fun though! You poor thing xx
Out of interest, do you know what the white stuff is?
Miraculously the catheter hasn't bothered me yet, but I can't imagine the removal feeling all that great. And the white stuff is an antibacterial cream afaik, I forget the name.
Good old Savlon haha (I’m guessing it’s probably a bit stronger than Savlon)
I’m really glad for you!! Hopefully I’ll be in your position next year :)
I shan't leave you hanging! It's silverderm cream, initially intended for burnwounds. And let's hope so 💖
Hey looks amazing results! Congrats!! I'm booked with banks start of October 22! Can't get over the results they give! Can I ask is it redressed shortly after surgery so you get to see your results before the swelling kicks in? Or is swelling there straight post op?
You are already fully packed when you wake up and don't get to take a look until a few days in. So sadly, you'll have to wait a good while to see your results without swelling. Ans good luck on your surgery and recovery next year 💖
Ooooo im booked in for oct 2022 as well :)
Looks so good already, how has the pain been? I'm so scared of that, but I just have to do it in order to feel good in my body. How is his pain managment? It's different with every suregon.
This is going to be personal for everyone- but so far I haven't suffered from pain for a minute. But then again I haven't started dilation yet. The anesthesiologist (I forget her name, she was lovely,) offered a choice between heavy general anesthetics and lighter general anesthetics + an epidural. According to her the epidural left people generally with less pain and feeling less sick, and for me it worked! I have not needed a morphine pump/Drip at any point. I've just had tablets for pain. ( Though I think they changed those a little at some point as well after they made me sick)
Wow amazing, I always hear that epidural is the way to go, happy for you, and wishing you a speedy recovery.
Looks good!
