Does having a vagina and using things like underwear affect the way you see your hip area? I feel like my hips are quite a medium size but i feel like "that thing" is getting in the way and makes that whole area look a lot more masculine.

Underwear definitely feels a lot more snug and feels like it fits more comfortably.

Yes. Wearing most women's panties pre-surgery always felt weird, like the gusset area (the part between your legs) was taught and pulling the cloth covering the buttocks down...

Because it was. No matter how much I convinced myself pre-surgery that I'd found a pair that totally fit, the fact is most women's panties are not designed around a mass of flesh in the gusset area. Post surgery, panties fit like a glove, and my ass crack remains thoroughly covered, whereas before they had a tendency to get pulled down a little

It took some time getting used to for sure! Just walking felt weird for a bit lol. But i’m super super happy with my results and the pain the first few months were worth it. I have some hyper granulation tissue im getting removed on the 17th of January but other than that no complications.

Nice! He did a wonderful job! Hope your recovery continues to go well? Was there anything that has surprised you with the recovery?!

One thing that surprised me is that walking feels so weird. Im not used to the feeling at all lol. My labia kinda rubs together when i walk so im having to hear my mom ask me to ā€œstop walking weirdā€ lol

God I swear every time I see a great surgery result it’s that doctor.

Can’t wait til I can give him a visit myself 😩

If you don't mind me asking, is there a big waiting time to get a surgery date once everything is green-lit? I'm still in early stages of transition, know this is on the horizon, but I don't see a ton of places in Canada doing this work so curious to know timelines. Also, if you don't live close - what was it like trying to get home? (am I worried about anything else? no. Logistics? Yes hahahaha)

Once i got my letters and filled all the paperwork (I also had to quit smoking so took a bit longer), it took about 8 months once the doctor got my stuff and finally gave me a date. I live in canada so the surgery is completely covered and brassard is the one that does it. As for travel i took the plane and it was definitely rough (I highly recommend a doughnut pillow to sit on). I also asked at the desk for help reaching my gate and got wheelchaired everywhere so that helped a ton.

I have heard really good things about the clinic in Montreal so likely a destination for me too eventually. I'm just in Ontario so it's a 7h drive, 4.5h express train (7h milk-run), or hassle of flight. Doughnut pillow - wrote that one down! Really appreciate the post/info - thank you (btw: looks great and hope it is everything you wanted :) )

I started taking hrt at 19 years old ans I’m 24 now. I started with pills but switched to the patch about 3 years in. I recently started progesterone less than a week ago so hoping to see some changes there too :)

Hey is the patch easy to deal with????hope it is . and congrats on youre success!

5
Sat Dec 25 22:56:45 2021 UTC
(2 children)

The patch can be annoying as it tends to like to fall off and it gets itchy. I use kinda like a medical tape to keep it in place and moisturize the location once I take it off. Always alternating where I put it

So wait does sit need to be on all day then or a few hours and lastly do they come in a huge batch lol hoping that id stand switching to the patch the injectables look like torture

Hi, congratulations, the result looks very good!
You said below that your labia move when you walk, but does it good or bad feeling ?
one more question, what was the type of surgery ? was the Famous PPT or other ?

7
Sat Dec 25 23:09:23 2021 UTC

It was penile inversion. And it’s not a bad feeling per say just feels ā€œnewā€ right? Like I went 23 years with a penis and now I have a vagina it’s bound to feel weird at first

and to pee? how are you doing? What is the best ? the new equipment or the old one?

6

Peeing is fine I guess. I liked having the ability to pee standing up before. Me and my brother share a bathroom and him leaving the seat up actually gets on my nerves now lol. Other than that it’s not that much different. You kinda just get used to it

What about your feelings? Did hormone therapy along with surgery change your mental perception of sexuality a lot?
I don't know if you are Heterosexual, Homosexual or Bisexual ...but if heterosexual, are you more attracted to men now than before?

2
Sun Dec 26 00:45:36 2021 UTC

Im bi with a strong preference for men. Hormones or surgery did not change much when it comes to my sexuality. I don’t know if other trans folks do have changes in that regard but not me

Hi! I’m having surgery with dr Brassard in two days, I’m very exited! How long after surgery did you wait before taking hormones again? They say two months on GRS website but it seem like forever to me. Thanks in advance!
