I have insurance so I’m not really sure of the out of pocket cost without.. it was something like $120,000 including the hospital stuff, but I had a bleeding complication that required a week more of a hospital stay too. With my bsbc in New York I paid my out of pocket maximum, a little over $8k

Most insurance covers it..I don’t think folks generally go through mount sinai without it because it’s so expensive

Take a look at Suporn in Thailand, as this result reminds me of his work a fair bit.

The recovery is twice as long as penile inversion, but the results are very good.

I understand the frustration. I chose mount sinai because it accepts my insurance (I live in nyc). If I lived somewhere else I probably would have chosen someone else. This result is not one of research but rather I was just lucky to already live here in New York.

But I believe the out of pocket costs are usually different than insurance prices. Also I’m $10k in debt now on top of all my other debt.

3x a day 30 minutes each for a year ☠️

FOR A YEAR?! doesn't the frequency go down after a few months?

I knowwww but I went for my 12 week appointment and got lectured on how critical doing it for a year 3x a day is for my long term happiness so now I’m freaked

8
Mon Jan 17 14:28:23 2022 UTC
(0 children)

i didn't do 3x a day after surgery with pang and lost basically all my depth and width. so keep up with it is my suggestion. i think the method he does can cause a lot of internal scarring if you don't dilate according to his instructions i guess, idk

2
Mon Jan 17 00:54:34 2022 UTC
(0 children)

What was their reasoning behind this? Most seem to eventually have folks go down to only twice a day.

2
Mon Jan 17 04:35:21 2022 UTC
(0 children)

I was told 3x a day for a year as well by Suporn. I managed to keep it up for a year and it killed me. I had no energy, I was constantly struggling to keep up and my life ended up revolving around having to dilate. I stopped. I've lost my depth but I literally don't care.

I had same surgery with Dr. Avanessian at mt. Sinai. Very similar results!

I too hate dilating....at about 9 months but incredibly busy and exhausted with all the covid stuff (I work in healthcare). I could never do 3 times a day but I try to get at least twice a day.

If you don't mind, could you explain how the whole dilating thing works?

1
Tue Jan 18 20:25:22 2022 UTC
(0 children)

dilation is a requirement after SRS for life, but reduces in frequency after the initial healing process. There are a few reasons to keep doing it but it's essential to have penetrative sex. It trains muscles and keeps scar tissue from forming in the canal, using a dildo made of glass or plastic that slowly increases in diameter over weeks and months. Some people choose a vagina without depth in their canal because penetrative sex isn't a goal, meaning they don't dilate.

What’s the color order for your soul source?

Mine are Orange (smallest), purple, blue, green (thickest)

I’m at month two and I still have to use orange for 10 minutes before I can insert purple for 30.

Ohh funny, mine are purple blue green orange, orange is biggest. I still am doing the green one 15 minutes and the orange the other 15.

Hi, Dr Pang did a great job. If you don't mind me asking, since he is my surgeon as well, did you have an orchiectomy before or during? Also how long were you on HRT prior to surgery? My questions are because I'm worried about attrophy and not having enough material.
