Hi everyone, today was the big unwrapping day in my first post op appointment. Pee test passed (thank god) and dialation went well, I am just short of the final dot but it is very close. Pain is pretty minimal still though I still feel a bit of discomfort from nerves reconnecting and when trying to sit up.

Plan is to continue sitting and doing nothing 23.5 hours a day and use the rest as rest and bathing time.

iโ€™m considering him as one of my options. do you know how many ppt vaginoplasties he has performed?

I do not know precisely but he has been solo full time for about a year and has been working closely with dr. Wittenberg for quite a while. I think they each do 1-2 surgies a week, not all of them this same version. Id say he has really come into his own technique wise and hes lovely to work with but im biased.

I was also just short of the final dot in the office (Wittenberg), but with a longer dilation session I was able to get it in eventually. Your results look great! How do you feel?

(Did you also have the "wonderful" experience of learning what it's like to be a floss dispenser?)

Oh jesus, it was the WEIRDEST FEELING I have nothing else to compare it to but thats a pretty good simile. I can mostly get the final dot in with continuous (gentle) pressure. I am pretty darn happy with my depth.

Sure is, recovery hasn't been too bad so far but being in bed 23 1/2 hours a day is pretty boring. I miss going outside and walking around but I know I am working for something important by enduring the dullness.

It looks really good! This is so surreal as my surgery is rapidly approaching with Dr Bonnington. 3 1/2 weeks๐Ÿ˜ฑ. How difficult is walking?

It was not pleasant, not painful just lots of pressure. I had some issues with my blood pressure dropping standing up but that may be related to being a bit pudgey but that resolved itself after a few days.

I hear a lot of trans women and femmes get denied gender affirming care for their weight. (not something i hear among transmascs like myself) did you have any push back to get this surgery done?

I am not badly overweight just kinda borderline in terms of bmi, I think the primary concern is possible complications with anesthesia but im otherwise quite healthy.

Depends on the surgeon (not the OP, just chiming in). Dr Suporn and Dr Bank at the Suporn clinic in Thailand (one of the most highly rated surgeons in the world) will not operate on anyone over 30 BMI.

Iโ€™ve heard plenty of trans guys say that they canโ€™t get top surgery until they lose weight

Iโ€™m jealous about you. It looks SO normal. Iโ€™m going to have to start looking at Dr. Bonnington for myself.

Shes a bit swollen but normal was my wish. I think he is really worth considering but again a bit biased being his patient and all.

Looks pretty good so far, by please keep up with the updates (it would be very helpful for future patients of Dr. Bonnington), I have two questions for you: What is your vaginal depth? How have the dilations been?, I wish you the best of luck with your recovery.

:) I plan to continue posting updates, I am just short of the final dot on the dialator so about 14cm/5.5 inches? Dialation has been pretty easy, mozaic (both surgeons) intentionally start on orange. It mostly just feels like a little bit of pressure on the insertion until it hits the back and you feel a tiny bit of discomfort. :D thanks I will try to keep recovering well.
