Keloid Scars improved with 6 sessions of triamcinolone injections. The swelling has went down over time, the size of the clitoris is what I dislike the most, but I don't want to have surgery again so I'll probably stay like this.

I have some scarring like this myself. Did you go to another plastic surgeon for the triamcinolone injections? I'm looking into what can be done to reduce these on my surgical area as well.

For reference here's what mine looks like: https://www.reddit.com/r/Transgender_Surgeries/comments/s9ek2t/need_advice_on_scarring_im_6_months_postop_and/htm99rc/?context=3

Hi, the injections were given to me in the Dermatology area of a public hospital, the original surgeon told me that the injections would not work and that it would be best to have another surgery (charging me a lot of money) but in the end the triamcinolone injections were very effective, they did not go away completely but visually it improved a lot. The dermatologists gave me an injection of 30mg/5ml every 3 weeks. At the sixth session I stopped applying them for fear of atrophying the tissue, although I don't know if it is a real risk at this low doses. So I recommend that you try them, if you surgically remove them it is very likely that they will come out again, even worse than before. Your case looks much less severe than mine so I think you'll be very successful.

Awesome thank you for this information. My doctor was suggesting a corrective surgery as a possibility too, but said it might come out the same or worse so I wanted another option. I'll look into a dermatologist.

Yes, dermatologists will know what to do, there are different treatment options, based on the type of scar they will determine the best for you 💕

Are you open to a few mildly invasive questions? If not I completely understand. I'm looking to go this route and there is hardly no information.
