Kinda makes sense long healing and swelling considering how much Dr Jumaily removed. I'm liking it! The past pic is 2 years ago. Surgery was 10/2/21. 😘😊

Thanks

Sorry that's a really crappy picture of my jaw but it really shows the amount he took of the jaw. Lol. Heavy is a good way to describe it. Be interesting to know the weight difference after he cut so much bone of. It was 12 hours surgery. Just waiting I never thought it could take so long to heal. 🤞🤞🤞

most people who post here are already hecking cute.

photos like this give me hope. but I'm also scared of the jaw reduction risks. i heard it's very risky. knowing my like i'll end up with a stroke after saving for al my life

The only risks really are nerve damage and infection but it's rare. And then risks associated with any surgery. I had massive reconstruction everywhere, and while I'm healing slow I am healing and expect full recovery.

I think many risks are reduced by really taking care of yourself before and after surgery.

Best to you.

there's stroke, and nerve damage is really really bad. I'd not feel my lips again, will never know what's it like to kiss someone :( or eating would be weird/hard

i've been debating getting them seeprately to reduce my risks

Like I said those things are rare and for me considering my dysphoria about my face were more then acceptable...

I have insane dysphoria, but the thought of working for 20 years of my life to end up with a stroke is terrifying. oh well.

is there a statistic on them?

I actually never heard of stroke risk. I don't know why ffs would cause high blood pressure. Dr never mentioned anything like that to me. Most of the stuff was just typical surgery risks for any invasive surgery and general anesthesia. And of course the releases I signed for things associated with facial surgery. I think If you're healthy you will be at low risk.

Talk to the surgeon see what they think. 😊

they are not gonna be 100% honest.

surgery is just a business, you don't go into an apple store and ask "Is this gonna slow down after an update?"

I trusted my surgeon actually.. If I didn't I would never have some ffs with him..

All the things you seem paranoid about are rare. I was willing to accept those risk because the benefits by far outweigh the risk. In my case the risk of what my dysphoria could do and had done offset all the risk anyway.

Hope you get it all figured out.
