When my plastic surgeon that was doing my SRS the Libya , it was in a small room with two interns two nurses and my wife , and the surgeon is the chief plastic surgeon of Yale hospital . And with a very clinical look he said what do you want your labia to look like ? And all these people were just staring and the only thing that flashed in my mind was , Stephen Tyler‘s lips . 😁😂
You can see a bit of wound separation at the bottom of my left labia, but today (16 days post-op), that’s actually doing a lot better. Dr. Jun said it should heal fine and doesn’t need any additional medical intervention, so I’m just moving carefully and keeping it clean. I’ve been alone without a caretaker since day ten, which has been doable, but all of the extra movement is likely the cause of the wound separation (it looks like I broke one structurally important stitch).
Healing has been good otherwise - swelling is reducing at a faster rate than expected, I haven’t had any other complications, and my pain is still very minimal (a bit more around the separation, especially right after dilation). Currently up to the green dilator. I may move up to orange (largest) next week if the separation is in a better place.

Nope, that’s just penile tissue. The vestibule underneath is urethral tissue though. I was circumcised, so no foreskin here. If it did exist it’d be used for the hood, I believe.
what type of hair removal did you do?
I did eight months of laser and ~3 hours of electrolysis over a few sessions. There was still some faint white hairs on my former scrotum, some of which is regrowing on my labia majora, but it’s minimal. I tried to retain as much pubic hair as possible, and have a good coverage across my mons but not down either side of my vulva, which is ideal for my goals. Might end up doing a bit of electrolysis on my labia majora way down the line, but I’m not worried about it at this point.
May I just comment that I've found the IPL device I invested in about 8 months ago...to work very well...and to be MUCH cheaper than laser? ; )

From my understanding, the deeper portions of the vaginal canal are less sensate, but have a higher chance of lubrication and self cleansing. In practice thus far, I can feel all of the dilator very intensely even in the deepest portions of my canal. The rest of the differences comes down to individual surgeon technique. One of the main reasons I like Dr Jun’s work is that he does very little grafting - almost everything remains connected to the body as it was before the surgery, so nerve sensation is still there and blood flow is uninterrupted.
