FFS Consent Statement

Hiya!

I had been looking for a FFS surgeon for a long time and I've decided on Dr Noorman van der Dussen.

I'm just looking through the consent statement, and one of the statements is:

I hereby commit myself to be bound with an obligation to abstain for revealing directly or indirectly any disclosure or statement regarding the surgery to/on any media if this information may possibly harm or have any negative impact on the activity or reputation of the surgeon and his team.

From my way of thinking, this would result in no negative reviews being out there. Should I be worried about this? Or is this normal?

Thank you Xx

That's what I thought! There are a lot of good reviews, but it has kinda worried me that people aren't allowed to say if they're not happy!

I saw one girl post something similar a while back. I would ask the surgeon why he's denying being open on negative feedback from his own clients

There are a lot of good reviews

Where? I'd like to add them to the wiki.

I have FFS in two weeks and I haven’t had to sign anything like this with my surgeon. I would feel super suspicious if I did.

I would ask what guarantees he will make to rectify any issues that would negate the need for negative feedback. Also not sure if this would stand up legally.

That is weird. That's practically copying an NDA attempting to protect himself from legal issues. No reliabke surgeon would do this unless they are likely to fuck up. Also I have read a review about him botching a patient and he was once blacklisted. He also trained Bart the butcher from 2 pass. I'd avoid him and Bart.

This is a pretty big red flag. Ask yourself how many negative reviews you’ve not heard of because of this.

He's had some very negative reviews posted online in the past.

Personally I’d never even consider a surgeon who did this.

I never had to sign any such statement with my doctor who is doing my FFS and augmentation in the morning.

Not sure what I would do if I had to sign something like that.
