My surgeon was wittenberg. Post op depression has hit me lately. Aesthetically im decently happy. Its not perfect. Dilating is very frustrating due to a spot that bled during surgery, and so I had to start 2 sizes smaller. Ive only gone up once and it doesnt seem like my body wants to ever go up again lol..

It took me 6 months to work up to the big orange dilator. I stayed at each of the other ones for 1-2 months before working my way up. When I was in your spot, I thought the same thing: that I’d never go up to a bigger one. Don’t lose hope, keep working on it. I’m optimistic for you

Thank you. Its frustrating for sure, but its lovely to hear people have similar experiences. How long did it take you to size up each time?

You are a beautiful young woman. See a therapist and your doctor. Post op depression is very common. You made the right choiceand will be happier with yourself in the long run. Keep dilating. Bridget

Looking great. Has daily dilation consumed your life? I would think it would be pretty affirming even if a bit of a headache task.

Nice result and you are very pretty indeed 🙂 Just out of interest though what causes post op depression? I'm having SRS this summer and I keep hearing about it

I see, it's life changing too no doubt about that, but I guess that if wasn't right for us we would not do it. I'm glad to hear that it's easing, and again you look fantastic 🙂xx

I follow you on you tube. Is your fiance starting his residency? I hope he takes good care of you. I am mtf and a physician so I remember how demanding it is. Hopefully he treasures you and your heart more than his career

This happens with a lot of surgeries, not just SRS. I got post op depression after my FFS. I think it has to do with the stress and trauma your body is under during surgery and recovery, it's a lot for your body to handle.

It is common because a lot of time and energy is spent getting there. Then you have it and realize you have to recover. You are hurting. Post op recovery and dilation takes over your life. This is not a pleasant process. Most of us are extremely fatiged and tired. It is a major surgery involving multiple body systems. A huge traumatic surgery you have to recover from and adjust your life to. Some "minor complications" are very common like dehiscense where the sutures open up and wounds come partially apart. This hurts and prolongs healing. There is not commonly a routine support services to help with all of this. It is a huged life adjustment that routinely does not have proper support. Bridget
