I am now 6 months post op with Dr. Kathryn A. Brandt and couldn’t be happier. I have adjusted to having a vagina and it feels completely normal now, no tightness or that tucking feeling anymore. My scars are getting lighter as you can see in the photos. I am able to self stimulate myself till the point of orgasm and it feels AMAZING ! We are planning on doing a revision next year for 2 reasons. 1 - my urethra is kind of bulging out a little bit ( you can see it in pics) so she will be pushing that in to hide it & 2 - I lost some depth due to a scar tissue ring I formed at the entrance of my vagina so we will most likely be doing a PPT revision for that. Other than that I am really happy with my results and will recommend Dr.Brandt to anyone who’s in the PA Area Dr. Kathryn A. Brandt

That's in the us :(

I think Canada only gets one surgeon and he's not know to be good

I know in Ontario we dont have to go to Montreal. If the out of country surgeon will work with our insurance then it can be covered.

are any of the covered surgeons good?

Thats really a matter of personal opinion and goals. And maybe a little bit of luck since recovery has a huge impact on final results.

But yes, I would say plenty of the covered surgeons are good.

I went with one who is highly recommended. My initial results were good, and recovery has gone well. Im disappointed with the continuity of care, but my experience seems to be uncommon. And while Im undecided if Id recommend my surgeon, or do it again, I still think my point of there being good surgeons stands. I didnt pick mine cause they were the only one, there were plenty of other options. I would start by reaching out to surgeons you are curious about and ask if they are willing to work with canadian insurance, and then if they have ever worked with your provinces insurance before.

Looks really good! Are you considering anything to mitigate the scar tissue?

Thanks 😊 and yes I will see a pelvic floor physical therapist so they can massage it so it can get softer

There are techniques like laser and derma-needling that can be very effect in reduction of scar size and coloration, FYI.

Did your surgeon require hair removal? I’d go to PA to get this result lol

She does not require hair removal but does let you decide weather you want to do hair removal or not . She does follicle scraping during the surgery but there is a chance some hairs can be missed. I didn’t get hair removal n I don’t have any hair in my vagina

Well I was one of the first to get that surgery when she started at my hospital so it took about 8-9 months from consult to surgery but I don’t think it should be that long now
