You all are crazy... I only used the "last size" and the "new size" when dilating, until "last size" no longer needed. I'm using largest orange soul source now, at last dot barely not visible... and I use green for 10 minutes to prep for it. It took me a bit to get to orange, and I only dilate once a week or so at this point because I use other things for pleasure in the meantime... I'm at nearly 10 months post op right now...

I think there’s a ton of different kinds. Orange is my smallest

Funny thing, with soul source, orange was my smallest, then purple, blue, green... then I found out there is ANOTHER orange after that is larger...

There's one more size after the larger orange, but it's only in silicone. Same length (6") but a touch larger in diameter.

Unnecessary lolol

As my surgeon told me, even the (large) orange is going to be bigger than just about any (natural) thing you might put in there.
That said, going up slightly on size will make the smaller sizes more comfortable, and no, it won't make you 'lose'.

Lol, I had same reaction...

Edit to add, I'll send a pic later...

This is such a vital thread. I started with 20 orange (final dot for depth), 20 purple (2nd dot), 20 blue (3rd from last dot) and on day 16 of dilation, ready to get to green 🤩

Wait. Do you mean 20 like you dilate for an hour every time?

I’m asking because I was told pretty strictly to stick to 15 minutes due to the fragility of tissue in the first month or so

Yeah, I definitely do 20 minutes each dilator totalling an hour. I’m going fo reach out to my surgeon and check for you. I know chettawuts schedule is 1 hour dilations too I’m the beginning.

Oh. Probably just different surgeons then. I do 3x a day, 15 mins each time

Just following what my amazing nurse is saying. Is dilation painful for you?

No dialation isn't painful at all , but having a hard time getting to the next size. I've tried it but hurts about half in. Not sure what to do

I see a lot of Thai surgeons suggest you spend the majority of your life dilating apparently. I don’t quite understand but.

Pam told me to do it like once a day. So I typically do it after my night dilation. I pop in the shower, turn it on, douche 2/3 times and out. Usually lay down with an ice pack and watch something stupid on tv til I pass out.

I use multiple dilators every time I dilate. At this point, I start with the blue one for 10 minutes, then the green one for 30-40 minutes, then the biggest orange one for 10-20 minutes. I'm just past three months post-op as of writing this.

I was moved up pretty fast. I began with just the 1 1/8 inch purple one, then added the blue one a week or two later, then the green one after the first month. I stopped using the purple one a few weeks ago, and just got up to the big orange one this week after getting the okay to try it from my surgeon.

When you said you were using "the orange dilator" at 18 days post-op, my jaw almost dropped before I remembered there's a set of four smaller dilators from soulsource using the same colors. I was about to be like, "damn girl, HOW?!" 😂

So in your case, orange is the largest? My surgeon has the same feeling about my PI. I’m healing quickly and very efficiently, so I’ve been moved up ahead of “protocol” due to the readiness of my canal to accept dilation

Interesting .. I actually tend dilate longer than 15-20 that is suggested. I find if I don't it gets tight and painful.

They did tell me not rush moving up my dilator sizes that it's not race. They have prescribed chart with 1st one in use until week 12. I'm at week 9 and I've gone ahead moved up(dilator #2) based on text reading that indicates if when you should move up basically when you consistently get to depth within 3-5 minutes without issue relative to chart. I'm little early but worried also smaller dilator occasionally starts spinning with minimal pressure and worries me cause 1st time it happened I was 2 weeks out and had unintentional orgasm(I think) and then lost layer of my graft few days later. I was told that it was fine and was good thing and not worry about minor graft loss that I didn't cause it but still I worry. So dilator #2 just seemed prudent. The dilator curve is supposed to stay pointed away from rectum so not fan of it spinning.

Mine are in this order. Purple💜 Blue💙 Green💚 Orange 🧡

I was told to dilate three times a day, each time for thirty minutes. I was also told I could dilate more if I were up for it and I sometimes dilate an extra time if I'm up late and can't sleep. Or sometimes if I have time in the day I'll dilate late in the morning and than after six instead of at like 2pm.

What is the length of the dilators and if you get the robotic PPT they say you get more depth how much is more like how far do you get cuz my husband is like a 7 and a half inch so I needed to lease go that deep
