i believe i paid $500 for his consultation
Most of the greatest hospitals in the world are teaching hospitals where the most gifted residents go to train under the eyes of the most gifted surgeons in the final years before they go out on their own into the world of surgery (for example, the Mayo Clinic, Boston Medical Center where Spiegel is on staff and so on). Literally all surgeons went to some kind of similar hospital to train. The best surgeons practice there because they are the best and can and do train others in their techniques. No matter which surgeon you pick, they were at one time a resident doing the exact same surgery under the supervision of a mentor. I have never understood this supposed criticism.

tysm for all your thoughts, i think i’m gonna cancel my surgery with him. honestly feeling like i don’t need ffs right now, i feel pretty and enough as i am. i would love a good result but i don’t think i’d be able to live with a bad result. thank you for the recommendation of mardirossian, maybe i’ll circle back around at some point and check him out :)
Isn't the risk with Spiegel just that nothing changes, and you need someone else to re-do the work? I mean, that'd be awful--but it's not a botch in the sense that you'll look awful, just that the money might not be well spent.
He’s in the wiki

From what I’ve read, it appears the main complaints are complications due to his students working on them, and that they didn’t know he allowed his, or has a teaching business, etc.
I think you’d want it it in writing before paying that he’s doing the surgery himself, with no others.
