Thank you so much! Right now (about 2:20am the day after surgery, approx 17 hours since start of op and 11 hours since it finished) I feel more discomfort than anything else

Was in quite a bit of pain when I first woke up after surgery at 4pm (about an 8/10) but that was taken care of relatively quickly. By the time I got out of recovery into my room with a fentanyl PCA pump and various other pain relievers the pain came down to a 5/10 from around 6pm or so onwards and continues to hover anywhere from a 3-5/10 as long as I keep on top of administering the pain relief. Make sure you’re willing to advocate for enough pain relief, it took a little bit of pushing to get the PCA pump but I’m so glad I did because it’s made a world of difference💗

The main source of pain is actually in my abdomen, I don’t really feel anything much in my new parts. Definitely feels weird (in a good way) knowing something else is down there though and I’m very excited to see her as soon as I can

Wishing you the best in your surgery journey, I’m sure you will be able to have it soon💖

So they literally went through the abdomen?

For the robot assisted peritoneal portion they do!

Hart does the hybrid PIV/peritoneal method, so does the initial part of the canal using traditional PIV technique and then the latter half of the canal uses laparoscopic surgery for the peritoneal lining

Wait so does it still self lubricate?

Yes it should! The hybrid method though makes it less likely that it will over lubricate, which can sometimes be an issue with full PPV

Thank you! It’s probably the greatest bit of art I’ve ever thought of and designed🥰
