19 Days Post-Op Sigmoid Colon Dr. Sutin
He is a great suregon, and kinda underrated. But it really pisses me off that they don't use the robot. The scars, and recovery is supposed to be better. Colon method really scares me though, how come you went with it?
My heart was dead set on colon from the beginning. I looked at PPV method, but still preferred colon. For me, the colon scar is not that big of a deal. I saw pics of scarring at two and three years and they were practically invisible by then.
It is a more intense surgery than I expected. Basically two surgeries happening at the same time. But I am very happy I got the colon technique so far and time will tell for certain.

Where is this doctor located?/website. Also I know people always say the colon method is smelly. Is that true? It looks very natural btw. I imagine you’ll look amazing by 1 year. Also we’re u circumcised prior? Does it have an effect on the results?

So far none of the discharge has been smelly. I'm taking vaginal probiotics and eating yogurt because with colon technique the vagina creates vaginal flora and self-cleans like a natal vagina. I do have a lot of discharge and I'm hoping much of it right now is due to wound healing and will be less in a few months 🤞
But there absolutely is no smell.
I was circumcised. I am not sure if that affects the results or not. I didn't ask because it's not something I could change if it did. But I do like to joke that I finished the job my parents started when I was a baby. 😂

That’s wonderful! So do u think the whole talk about it being smelly is a myth? Or ur just lucky? Or perhaps just taking care of ur self? Is there a need to douche? Also I’m still not white sure what exactly this procedure entails. Are they like removing ur colon? Or just taking lining.
I think it's a myth. This technique creates a self-cleaning vagina so im not suee why it would have an odor? I have heard that douching when you have colon graft can cause odor because it flushes out the vaginal microflora which jeeps it clean and healthy.
They take a segment of your colon. Apparently my colon is thick (which I took as a good sign that I could handle rougher sex, but the surgeon said it meant dilation could be more painful).
So is the peritoneal one not good?
So, how did the whole process work like you book a flight to Thailand and immediately went to a hospital? I would really like to go this route myself since it seems like it would be the best results, but honestly, I'm not sure if I would feel safe going so far away.

I m sure that they do other methods and personally don’t want colon method but I m hearing very good things about Dr Sutin
Yes he also does the inversion techniques and I have heard he does PPV.
He explained the scrotal graft he can offer as well it seems he’s done a half way between the so called ‘suporn ‘ technique and the previous PI method Benefits being shorter surgical time and less cost but utilisation of extensive experience. I don’t think o be seen any dodgy results from there which tells you something and we know they ve been operating for 50 years
Why Colon and not PPT?
My concern (which may or may not have been rational) was that I might have less depth with PPT than with colon.

I see some really impressive surgery results on this subreddit from time to time but this one really stands out as absolutely incredible, especially for just 19 days post-op.

Minor wound separation which is expected to heal on its own.
Are you talking about separation in your labia near the canal entrance? If so, do you know if it can be fixed with a revision?
I'm highly considering sutin, and having the labia minora meet below the canal entrance (or at least get close to there so) is the only thing that I haven't seen consistently done by him

I’d like to ask a question and I hope it’s not rude! What is the white-ish stuff around the vagina entrance?
It is called fibrin. It's basically "trapped" white blood cells which form a temporary structure for the wound to heal (secondary hemostasis). As the wound heals, the fibrin is shed. There was a significantly greater amount of fibrin at the beginning and as the wounds are healing there is less and less of it every day.

Congratulations! I’m very curious about how bad is vaginal discharge with the colon method ?
At the moment I'd say it's too soon to tell. Right now there probably is still wound healing discharge occurring which won't be present after healing is complete. The first few days after surgery there was quite a bit of discharge. That has decreased a lot in the last three weeks. I'm wearing menstrual pads to keep the vulva wounds dry as well as to deal with any vaginal discharge. The fluid on the menstrual pads is odorless and largely colorless at this point. With sigmoid colon you don't douche and instead you let your vagina create its own vaginal flora that self-cleanses just like a natal vagina. I'm taking vaginal probiotic supplements to aid in this as well as having yogurt a couple of times a day. So far no issues.
