I also had PPT vaginoplasty with Doctor Wittenberg and am suffering in much the same way. I am looking into this procedure that Doctor Powers describes in this post:

https://www.reddit.com/r/DrWillPowers/comments/tlgf73/starfish_technique_for_neovaginal_opening_scar/

I haven't had it done yet, but my primary care doctor supports another patient who claims the procedure is exactly what they (and hopefully we) needed.

What does Wittenberg say?

To be honest, after the time period where you could reach out to Doctor Wittenberg and her staff via the direct messaging app I have been very disappointed with the care I have received. My recovery did not include any serious complications but I still had a number of legitimate issues/concerns that were not properly addressed when I attempted to discuss them via email. To answer your question...I didn't ask. I'm done with Mozaic Care.

That's unfortunate. I'll add this post to the wiki here.

I'd approach SRS surgeons before anyone else as this should be a fairly standard complication for them.

care

In general some people look for local supportive med people who are experienced with trans people. Asking at lgbt places or support groups may be an option, and here was also a discussion.

And some people use small dilators at least for depth, here may be more.

My surgeon uses a z-plasty to loosen the scar ring at the entrance if necessary, but I don't know if Wittenberg offers something similar.

If this is common for her patients, she may want to look into dilation techniques to massage the scar ring. It's much easier to influence it's tightness and flexibility early in recovery, before it contracts and sets.

I had a vulvasplasty to remove that ring of scar tissue, repair my introitus and reopen my vagina after terrible wound dehiscence.
