surgeon was Dr Alexes Hazen in NYC. First photo from Feb 2022 (as part of my initial consult), second photo Dec 2022, ~13 weeks post op.

They feel and move great, and have had a huge positive impact on how well clothes fit me and how present my boobs are on my chest. AMA

EDIT: here’s a video I just posted to this sub that shows them in motion (immediately post op vs a few months post op—nsfw). They move/feel/squeeze way better than I expected; It’s honestly hard for me to tell where the breast tissue ends and the implant begins

Her! And she’s great! She’s probably better known for her trans masc top surgeries, but I loved the BA results I saw from some girls i know who had gone to her.

Also her office is incredible at working w insurance. I sent them a letter from my therapist and my hrt provider and they took care of the rest. They said 95% of the time they can get it covered without any hassle. It cost me $140 out of pocket.

She sounds amazing! I've got FFS in January (after a very long wait!) and bottom in August... So... It's gonna be a rough year.

I'll look into surgery with her in 2025.

ty! I was happy with my boobs too, and i honestly pursued my first BA consult almost on a whim, but when I tried on the sizers I was immediately like “WOAH this is awesome I had no idea how much needed this lol”. It was very clarifying.

Now when I look back at old pre-op photos I feel like they look so much smaller than I perceived them at the time, and my current boobs look how I’d always imagined my previous boobs looked, if that makes any sense

May I ask how long you had been on hormones before getting the BA?

sure! just shy of 5 years by the time I had the surgery (started hrt oct 2017), but I began consulting at 4 years hrt

Thanks! What would you say your size was before and after the BA? I'm just trying to figure out a comparison for myself. I've been on hormones for 2-1/2 years and still seeing good growth. I'm currently a full 38B and starting to get a bit of overflow :-) ... I'm 5'-10-1/2" and weight 175 lbs. In a push up bra, I get a lot of looks and complements but the cleavage is sparse :-(

Im not sure what size before, honestly; I basically just wore bralettes (and most of the time I went braless). My band size is 34. Im still trying to figure out my current cup size. Here’s a photo of me in a 34 DD bra

Thanks for sharing…bralettes to DD, big change. It must take time getting use to the change. You look great, so glad for you. I am a 38 A and bras just don’t fit me but not sure how big I want to be as I am very athletic, into running and sports.

Dang they look awesome!!

Can I ask why you went above muscle rather than below? I also had mine done this year- same natrelle implants, but under muscle and 400cc sizing. Ended up with capsular contracture in 1, but the other is perfect, and getting the cc fixed soon!

I have some friends who have above the muscle and i was so impressed by their results, the way their boobs moved and felt etc, that i started looking more seriously into that placement (at first i was fairly certain i wanted below the muscle).

I think if id gone with bigger implants I would have opted for sub-muscular because they look amazing and have a lower rate of capsular contracture (sorry to hear that btw that’s a bummer—im glad you’re able to get it revised), but I already had a fair amount of breast tissue and ended up with pretty modest implants. And it’s a much easier surgery to recover from. I have a 4yo and 2yo twins so it would have been hard to avoid exerting myself 🙃

Is it okay if I ask how your nipple sensitivity is? That's a reservation I've had with getting implants.

3
OP
Sat Dec 3 13:11:25 2022 UTC

mine are fine, just like normal. There was a period just after the surgery, starting at week 2 and lasting about a month, where they were super sensitive to the point of being painful (ie not the good kind of sensitive)

I was like, oh GOD I hope this isn’t what they feel like now. But I found out it’s just something that happens to some people and it’s not uncommon. They’re back to their original sensitivity.

But losing some sensation in your boobs/nipples is possible, and it’s a risk no matter which incision site you use :(

They look so natural. What’s your height? I’m considering motiva round 340 cc moderate profile but fear will be too small

OP

lol I’m 6ft 😬

I feel like surgeons tend to have a good idea what cc will look good/natural on a particular body. I went into surgery expecting 300cc-375cc implants, and when i woke up I was surprised to learn my surgeon had decided to go with 255cc. (I told her to go with whatever she thought would look the best). Im really happy with the result.

Imho implant profile and muscle placement have a bigger visual impact than cc, and it’s maybe good not to get too fixated on them being a specific volume if you can help it. Communicate your goals to your surgeon and then trust them to achieve the result you’re looking for etc etc

Are you able to squeeze the implant? Are they bouncier? I’m trying to change my implants to go above muscle cause below you can’t really grab on to the implant
